My special place

I bought my kids weighed blankets @Snowie , after reading about them here .... and it must be so nice to cuddle up to Izzy. I really miss having a cat, although it’s been a long, long time since I did have one .... but just the memory of their softness, warmth, cuddles, and purring is a comforting thought.

22deg is really nice @outlander . It’s cold here, but not too bad actually. There are some times I feel it more than others I think .... maybe after midnight, lol, when I should be headed to bed anyway.

It is 6 degrees here now @Faith-and-Hope and expected to get down to 3 overnight 😮 Your niece is in her cave all snuggled up and warm and of course Toby is next to me.

Got my power bill this week and it is double my last one - that is because I have had the heater going non stop this winter. Could have done without that but has kept me warm and relatively well - no cold or flu this year (touchwood) so it is worth it.

Just finished the Maths marking and planning @Snowie and if I can get their spelling finished then that will do me for tonight. Already have the afternoon organised - Science tomorrow - so more than half of the day is already organised.

Yes @Zoe7, better that heating bill than paying money out on medications, doctors and feeling awful with cold and flu .... hopefully there is some sort of trade-off there. Maybe there will be an early Spring and you won’t need the heating for as long this year .... fingers crossed 🤞

Yes I agree @Faith-and-Hope - better to be warm and well than cold and sick. ...and I haven't had any sick days available at work so good thing I have been okay. I checked my pay yesterday and I now have been credited with the sick days for this year so at least now I have a backup - really relieved about that.

Given up on the marking for tonight - can't concentrate any longer. I have a little time off tomorrow so will try to get it all done then otherwise I will stay after school and complete it then.

Getting something to eat before I head to bed - it is really late but I am hungry ...must be all the work lol

Yeah, I had a big lunch so I haven’t been hungry up until now, but now I am. Looking at some tomatoes here .....
