Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

It sucks that you understand @Zoe7

I don't think the pdoc will do another med change without being admitted so I guess I just have to accept that for now. I do know that it would be safer that way however.

I've had another prn so hopefully that helps until H gets home from work.

Re: My special place

It sucks that we both get all of this Hon @Snowie

I understand your reluctance to go back to hospital - especially that you will be leaving your kids - but kids are resilient and although they will miss you it is the best place to get the continuous care you deserve. Hopefully it will only be a short stay while they monitor the new meds and the effects it has on you. I have everything crossed that this time they will be right for you Hon. 💕

How are you sleeping at the moment?

Re: My special place

@Zoe7sleeping is the best bit at the moment. My night meds are a good combination so they have been helping with the nightmares and letting me get some sleep. Like most days I will probably take my meds early so it is another day over with.

Re: My special place

If that is what you need to get through this then that is what you need to do Hon. It is good that some part of your day/night is tolerable - I know the nightmares and flashbacks were horrendous for you for some time so to hear they have subsided at night is a win @Snowie. My meds at night are seeming to take longer and longer to work, That is ok while I can sleep again in the mornings but it won't be good when I am eventually back at work. I spoke to my pdoc yesterday about it and the only thing I can do is take them earlier - neither of us want to mess with any reduction - especially until work is underway - as last time we did that I didn't sleep properly again and the nightmares returned.

Re: My special place

The nightmares have subsided which is good @Zoe7

No you don't want to mess with them hon if the nightmares are not there. I guess all you can do is take them earlier and see how that goes for you. As you said sleeping in the morning is ok for now, but you cant do that when you are back at work.

Have to go for a bit and get tea for the kids. They are whinging they are hungy!! Well all I have to do really is re-heat something from the freezer. Thanks for the chat and for understanding hon. It has helped to get a few things out of my head

Re: My special place

@Snowie saw you hit that support button so know you are around - how was dinner? I ended up having steamed veggies and tuna - very simple but filling and healthy.

Re: My special place

@Zoe7that does sound nice and healthy. I fed the kids and H but didn't eat dinner, wasn't hungry.

Re: My special place

I do wish you had eaten something Hon - you need to keep up your strength throughout all this - the med changes are hard enough without getting sick on top of that @Snowie

I also know though that sometimes we just don't have any appetite and that makes it hard.

Have you already taken your meds? I have had mine - let's hope they work earlier tonight.

Re: My special place

I can't stomach anything @Zoe7, even the smell of food.

I have taken my meds so hopefully not long before another day is over.

Hoping yours work soon for you hon.
