Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

HI @Snowie its good to see you
the past few days have been rough huh. im glad you were able to talk to your psych and get some things off your chest.
DBT sounds like it was abit full on! im not really surprised you were uncomfortable and anxious but im glad the facilitator got it under control, hopefully it doesnt happen again. Listening and learning is ok, its better than not going at all

How are you feeling tonight besides tired?

Re: My special place

Hi hun,

Last few days have been rough. I have felt down and couldn't contribute anything useful so stayed away. Not feeling great, just trying to block everything out.

How are you going?

Re: My special place

that is ok @Snowie and you dont have to say anything to be useful but i do get it
is there anything i can do to help you feel just a little better? i dont mind listening or talking, more than happy to just sit beside you too

im not up for talking about me atm, jsut having the same internal stuff and a few physical things but they will just have to wait for now at least for tonight

Re: My special place

I can feel that downward spiral happening again @outlander and feel helpless to stop it. I have started SH again which makes me angry with myself b/c I was controlling it for awhile. Feel like being admitted now was a waste of my and everyone else's time. I see pdoc next week again so maybe another increase in meds is needed. I don't know the answer to it, I'm not sure if anyone has the answer to it.

Re: My special place

@Snowie
do you think you could use that reward system that Sans suggested? the thing where at the end of each day/week you reward yourself?

when things get really bad, sometimes we dont know how else to help ourselves. i think before you said control was abit of an issue as it is for me too- self harming is almost liek having control over 'something' even if it isnt the best way to cope.
it might feel like the admission was a waste of time but i am kinda glad you went while all the med change were happening. i was and am worried about you.
Has anything improved at all? even just one thing that provides just a smidge of hope?

Re: My special place

@outlanderI had forgotten about that (you have a good memory). I remember Sans mentioning that, I might try that and see how I go.

Control is always an issue with me. It brings up so many other emotions and issues within myself.

My meds have improved my days. I don't get nearly as tired anymore during the day and don't walk around like a zombie anymore.

Re: My special place

@Snowie my memory isnt that good but i do remember that suggestion. theres no harm in giving it ago

Yeah i can definently understand that it does for me to. if only life was abit more simple or more so out brains huh. i often find that not only does it affects the internal stuff it comes out externally too even if we dont realise it- what are you thoughts about that?

that is a good postive sis, did i also read somewhere the nightmares have improved abit too?

In response to: Re: My special place

Re: My special place

@outlanderone of my meds help with the nightmares. They are still there but not as intense as they used to be. Like they are dulled.

What have you been doing today?

In response to: Re: My special place

Re: My special place

that is good @Snowie i am really proud of how your handling things even though the sh is still happening, your human things happen.

well ive been searching for a dentist because i have 2 wisdom teeth popping up at the same time however they are only partially ruptured and on an angle so need to get that sorted plus i broke a tooth 2 days ago.
i thought someone stole my car keys so went right into flip out mode but other than that just the shops, work and some housechores. nothing all that special.
What about you? did you get up to much today?

In response to: Re: My special place

Re: My special place

@outlanderouch, that sounds annoying and must hurt. You probably need to see a dentist.

Did you find you car keys in the end?

Only DBT today, that prretty much wipes me out. Didn't get much sleep last night so will try to get more tonight hopefully. Have a busy day tomorrow with D's dancing. She has a comp that will go all afternoon and night.

Do you have any plans for the weekend?
