Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

I like this. Making things simple. Normalcy and routine can be really, really helpful for our mental health, so I think this is a great approach. I don't know if you saw my message in the intention setting thread, but finding what feels good can also be a helpful, simple approach to navigating our tough days.

For example, you may find yourself overwhelmed or feeling heavy: "what would feel good right now?"

I have noticed the answer is often little joys.

You don't have to do this, of course, but just something to consider. @Snowie

Feeling exhausted after an intense session is very normal, it sounds like you were confronted with a lot of emotion in that moment, so I am glad that your psychologist was able to bring you back safely.

Did they give you any strategies to work on until you see them next?

Cuppa and a couch sounds so cozy. 🥰

Thanks for the reply @AuntGlow

At the moment, simple is all I can do. It helps to try and stay present. It helps to get through those hard days.

My psych didn't really give me any strategies to work on. It's more just doing what feels right at the time and using my tools to get through the days and nights. I see them in a couple of weeks time so I guess I just have to try and see it through.

Hoping it goes fast but never seems to.
