My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Thanks @Bow @Eve7 @tyme for thinking of me.

I did end up going to ECT. They seem to have the same nurses each time so at least I already knew them.

All they said was "is there anything we should know", they didn't even ask the normal questions they do. I just said no. I couldn't bring myself to say anything else.

H and I ended up stopping for lunch at a local cafe, so that was nice.

Taken some meds, I always seem to get a headache after ect.

Nice and hot here, at least the washing is drying quickly.

I hope both of your days are going ok or at least a bit better than the previous days.

Re: My special place

I’m glad you had a nice lunch with h @Snowie. it’s also good that you knew the nurses. I get a headache after ECT too.

Ive spent most of the day doing uni work and am about to write a 400 word report. At least it’s not too long, just has to be concise.

Re: My special place

It was nice just h and I @Eve7 haven't done that for awhile.

Well done for getting your uni work done. I hope the report goes well.

Just watching the tennis here. Looks like it is going to be a good match. They are both great players.

Re: My special place

Just stopped for a cuppa , biscuits and tennis @Snowie I’ve even turned the air con off as I was getting cold.

This is a good game of tennis.

Re: My special place

Hot here @Eve7 so air con is staying on!

It is a very good game of tennis. Hoping I can stay awake for the other semi final tonight.

Have you got much on for the weekend?

Re: My special place

Then you certainly need your sleep hon @Eve7 if you have to get up early.

It certainly does have drama hon. Ohhh into a fifth set!!

The other semi final is meant to start 7:30. I don't think it will. Not sure if I'll even be able to stay awake for all of it.

Re: My special place

@Eve7 ! So good to see you swing past! We've missed you!

@Snowie , thank you for sharing how today was for you. If you ever have time, I'm interested to know more about the process of ECT. So is it a clinic or something? Why do the nurses have to ask you throse questions? It's not making sense in my head and hence I'm asking. However, if you don't feel like answering, that's totally okay too.

In my head, when you have ECT, you go in, they put you to sleep, then do what they need to, you wake up and stay in the waiting room until someone gets you... that's what I thought it was - like any day procedure sort of thing. But from what you are explaining, it's different. Or is it at a private clinic, and that's why?
