My special place

I had 7 treatments in 2 weeks when I was clinically depressed with bipolar. It fixed the problem. That was the first time I got sick before I knew I had bipolar. I had late onset. I was 28. I haven’t had to have it since that one time.

I was too tired to garden this afternoon so sat and read a gardening magazine.

Will garden tomorrow after doing a couple of chores. I like gardening if I don’t do too much. @Snowie

Had my unit cleaned today looks good but floor is sticky. I have to clean it with turpentine in water like you’re supposed to do.

@GezzaP this is not the first time I've had ECT. I have had quite a few admissions to have ECT more frequently. Last time I had 12 sessions over four weeks. My pdoc calls this maintenance ECT.

@Snowie I didn’t need all 12 treatments. I don’t envy you having ECT so much. I’m ok most of the time. Just at the moment I have had depression but now I have turned to hypomania from not sleeping. Better depression than mania.

@GezzaP we are all different and different things work for different people. I know others that have tried ECT but it didn't help them. For me, it seems too.

I hope the hypomania settles down for you soon and you are able to sleep better.

I need to sleep properly then the mania will get better. Will try to stay up a bit later tonight.

Been a big morning.

Went and saw mum, took her up the street for some shopping and a coffee.

She mentioned again about coming back home. Then mentioned about going on an outing next week. It just confused me on whether she wants to stay or not. I just skipped to the next topic.

Took her back, came home and tidied up a bit.

Went and picked S up from friends house.

Came home and did the washing and the big pile of ironing.

Finally sitting down now with a coffee. I think this afternoon will be an easy one!
