Not much else on for today. Have to pick S up from school. Was thinking of heading to kmart but really can't be bothered. Might be a job for next week.

That does sound really nice - what did you notice happened in your body and mind when you were at the shops on your own?

@AuntGlow I've spent most of today not doing much. Was nice just to sit and not have to worry about anything.

It was just nice to go at my speed at the shop. Normally it is a very slow process, stopping a lot working out what mum needs or what she wants to look at. I'm normally a get in there, get what I need and get out as quickly as possible! I'm not very comfortable in public places.

Come down this afternoon with a sore throat and headache. Not great timing. Hoping it doesn't get worse.

Oh gosh, I am the same!!! There is a time and place for luxuriating in a shopping centre, but most of the time - I just want to get my stuff and find comfort in a cafe or park. I am with you on this one 100%!

You know, sometimes we get sick when we finally have the space to pause and process - I hope you are able to take care of yourself and give your body all of the space it needs to heal.

Well back from Adelaide

Had a great time with just D and I.

Visited the Botanical Gardens, State Library, a few Churches, went Kayaking, went on a wine tour and finally last night went to the Alex Warren concert (I hope I can say that now since it has passed). Also found 4 second hand book shops that had some of the most amazing books.

Had to pay for extra luggage on the way back. Gee those books weigh lots!

Did lots of walking around the city. Adelaide certainly is the city of churches. So many old beautiful ones.

Was really nice to get away and spend that time with D. As she's getting older and having her own life, it probably won't happen that much anymore.

Back to reality now. Already started with the washing!! Will have to go see mum too.
