Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Just glad that the day is over

How has your day been?

Re: My special place

Im sure you’re glad today is over. I was sitting around in pjs at 1030 when a friend messaged to ask if I’d like to join her for a cuppa. I dressed hurriedly and joined her for a very late brekky!

Ive spent the rest of the day doing an assignment about handballing in AFL. I now know about the muscles and joints involved as well as brain involvement! Useless to my sport but interesting nonetheless!

Re: My special place

Thats nice to catch up with your friend @Eve7

That assignment does sound interesting. I guess a small movement in footy but lots involved in it.

So glad today is over. So looking forward to the weekend

Re: My special place

I can only imagine how exhausted you must be @Snowie. I can hear some very well-deserved rest is in order for tonight.

I am glad you got through the most important things with your psych. Aside from ECT, what else did you touch on?

And now that you have your own space, how do you feel? 💛

Hi @AuntGlow

Thought I'd sleep really well last night but unfortunately not. So much running through my head.

Having a break from mum today. Spoken to her this morning and one of her friends is going to visit her and take her out for lunch.

My psych and I also spoke about me having to speak/text my brother to keep him updated on mum (I rarely have contact with him) and how to cope with this weekend.

She also wants me to walk/get out of the house more. She's worried now that mum doesn't need me as much, I will withdraw from everyone and everything. Not that I have any friends anyway. She's probably right however.

It was nice to go up the shops on my own this morning and not have to explain myself to anyone.

Just might be @Eve7

I was talking to my psych that mum and dad (before he passed away) have lived with us for about 22 years. A really big change.

How is your day going?

Re: My special place

It’s a huge change for you @Snowie but it was time. I think your mother needs more care and you’d reached saturation point.

Ive seen pdoc and that went ok. The person I was going away with has pulled out so now I’m travelling and staying alone. I pick up a car at Tullamarine and then drive a couple of hours to a sporting event which I now wish was in Melbourne. Big girl pants needed!

Re: My special place

@Eve7 thats a shame that they pulled out, especially at the last moment too.

Yes sometimes those big girl pants are needed!! Will be wearing mine this weekend too.

I do think it was time for mum. We spoke to the events coordinator yesterday and they have lots of activities. Mum was interested so hopefully she participates and gets to know others.

Funny fact. The lady we spoke to was the teacher for both of my kids at 4 year old kinder!! She remembered us all.

Re: My special place

Funny how people come back into our lives @Snowie

I’m pretty disappointed they’re not coming as they were picking me up at the airport and doing the driving. It’s also going to cost me lots more too. I know they can’t help being sick but it’s disappointing just the same.

Do you have anything else in today?
