Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Hi @Shaz51 Sorry you are so sore. Does anything help at all?

How has your day been?

Sometimes all I feel I do is go to the supermarket @tyme Luckily I have a big pantry so I can buy multiple of things. I made a big batch of sausage rolls today (to freeze in little packs) and a slow cooker of mango chicken curry.

Cooking is one of my self care tasks. I like trying new recipes and my kids will try anything. I've discovered some great recipes but have also had some big fails too!!

D has IBS so I make a lot of things from scratch instead of buying processed foods.

My pace at the moment is certainly slow. With so much going on I just keep telling myself I'm doing the best I can with all that is happening.

That's really awesome that cooking is your self-care! I guess it's like gardening which is self-care for some people... for me, I don't like either @Snowie

That's why we are all different, I guess.

When I read soausage rolls, I was thinking those yucky store bought ones.. but no! You're top notch in that they are home made! That's superb!

Content/trigger warning

Just found out last night that my neighbour of 22 years committed suicide the other day. He leaves a beautiful wife, children and grand kids.

He was always in his garden. Just saw him the other day in his garden and yelled out hi.
I guess sometimes we don't know the depth of hurt. He always had a smile on his face.
I don't know what I'm feeling.

I'm so sorry to hear that @Snowie That's really sad news, and it sounds like it was a real shock

Re: My special place

Thanks @Ru-bee It is a shock.

I know I can't talk about it on here. I don't want to trigger anyone plus guidelines.

Hopefully he is at peace now.

Not great @Ru-bee

I've had prn

There is so much to it, involving D too. Thankfully she will get counselling if needed.

I know it's not making any sense.
