My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

The kids will be at home @outlander so at least D will be here if mum needs to go anywhere. Although the responsibility shouldn't fall onto her.

She had an assessment the other day and I think she just thinks things happen straight away. She can't comprehend that there is a wait.

Those skills will certainly be good to have hon and you'd do an amazing job. You defiantly have the experience with how you have looked after and cared for your pop.

the waiting is hard @Snowie i hope the assessors get back to you pretty quickly.
responsibility can be shared sometimes. just driving her to the shops or helping abit for 2 days is ok.

i am trying to find a purpose to be here otherwise my suicidal thoughts just take over. i have alot of experience in the medical field when it comes to chronic pain and invisible disabilities both mental and physical so i hpe that one day i can share that and help others but in a safe way

I know 2 days isn't much @outlander I just don't want to burden her.

You never cease to amaze me hon at just how much you can give back to others. You are over filled with kindness. You really are someone that we can all look up too.

nah, i dont give back that much. i isolated for a long time. i support those at work but it gets hard sometimes. id like to help carers more. i feel like i can understand them and support without having to put my own mental health on the line as much.

thanks @Snowie i have been surrounded by many people past and present on here who have made such a difference just by being themselves, yourself included.
i probably wouldnt be here if i hadnt of found the forums when i did

mm i dont think i have any plans specifically. my pain levels are up abit the last few days so havent been sleeping.
the wound sites are healing but all the top glue has come off and sutures are nearly disolved so the skin is super sensitive atm too. have to see a dr across a few days as one of the sutures are sticking out and not looking quite right.
ive been trying to explore my new living area by going for some walks but im getting so exhausted after 15 minutes that im not getting very far. i did explore around the little town centre though
i might go for abit of a walk at the beach tomorrow if its not to hot.
i start back at work next week for a few night shifts though so might just have a chill day

do you have any plans for tomorrow?

I think we all get so much out of these forums @outlander

Just being around others who have similar pasts helps. Yes therapy can help but really being understood by others helps even more.

I'm so glad that you are here.

I'm sorry about your pain levels hon. It must be hard to deal with the pain. No wonder you aren't getting much sleep. Hopefully the sutures sticking out is only a little problem. I've had a wound site infected before and it certainly isn't fun.

Oh you are near the beach, that sounds nice. Hopefully it is a nice little town for you.

You are getting out for some walks and thats probably the main thing hon. Baby steps.

No real plans. Might try and get out in the morning. Meant to be hot here again tomorrow so an afternoon in front of the air con sounds good.

i am glad your here too

i think itll be ok. ill see how it is tomorrow, if its not quite right ill go see one of the urgent care doctors or call my surgeon and make an appointment on monday. theyre pretty good with these sorts of things.
sleep is hard when you have 5 wound sites all over the abdomen and 2 on bikini line but it is getting better doing most things thankfully

i am 10 minutes from like a beach thats not really a beach. its a walking path with a little cafe, wimming pools and rock pools but not really sand or anything.
theres another beach about 45 minutes away thats beautiful but its abit hard to travel that far atm

maybe you could take puppy dog for a walk before it gets to hot? im sure she will enjoy the aircon just as much too

Hopefully it is ok. It's good to know you can go to urgent care if needed.

Sleep must be hard if you have all those wound sites.

That sounds like an interesting place. Hoping the cafe sells good food and coffee!!

Oh she does love the aircon. Lays right in front of it. Has the best spot in the house!!

i havent been to the cafe in tht spot yet @Snowie i dont really like the area that much to be honest. i just get my groceries from the shops there and go back home. to peopley with all the touristy type stuff there now.

well shes not silly then is she! they always seem to know where the coolest or warmest parts in winter are

i think our friend could use some support too. she has made a new post on the forums if you feel ok to support too.
