Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

I guess today will pass @Ru-bee Will be glad when it's over but then not looking forward to tomorrow either.

I see my gp tomorrow. I should tell her what happened. I'm scared of what she will do or say.

Re: My special place

Tomorrow is a new day @Snowie

Have you spoken to your GP about this before?

Re: My special place

No not really @Ru-bee

She normally asks how I am and I normally say ok.

She knows a fair bit from her talking to my pdoc last time I went into hospital.

It's normally just a 15min consultation so in and out.

Re: My special place

Ah okay, so this is a bit of uncharted territory with this doc @Snowie it's understandable it would be scary to share this.

Do you have a sense of how she might respond, just based off of your interactions with her so far, or are the appointments a bit too brief to get a read?

Re: My special place

I don't see my psych until next Tuesday @Ru-bee

On the phone they said I need to tell someone. I also spoke to LL and they said the same thing.

I'm not sure how she would respond. She is nice however.

Re: My special place

Telling her does sound like the right move @Snowie

I'm just finishing up now, but I'll check back in tomorrow to see how it goes

Thanks @Ru-bee for keeping me company.

Still scared.

Re: My special place

@Ru-bee

I'm so stupid, I chickened out.

She was running late and the next two people who had appts with her were also waiting.

She asked me how I was and I just said ok. She asked again a few mins later and I just said ok again. Now I have nothing.

I'm such a coward.

Re: My special place

Hey, its a really vulnerable thing to tell someone, especially when you're not sure how they'll respond @Snowie

It's understandable that you didn't feel safe in that moment to talk about it. Maybe there are other ways you can tell her? Via email or over the phone perhaps?
