My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Hey sweetie, I missed your posts yesterday. So I missed you yesterday and much of today. How are you doing?

I've had a busy day, but not too stressful. I have my pyschologist tommorow afternoon. Don't really want to see him. I'm a whole mix of emotions right now.

Re: My special place

Glad your day was busy but not stressful.

I am ok. Had Gp today and just cleaned a bit. I figure if I can do a little each day, by the end of the week the house would be done. Baby steps....

I can understand mixed emotions. You have been doing so well with this psych and opening up to him, even though it is super hard. I am proud of you sis @Sans911

Re: My special place

@Snowie - I just bought a new vacuum on the weekend as the other one I had just wouldn't pick up all the fur and hair, especially of the lightly coloured kitchen rug. So it looked terrible. Only thing is it's white; not the best colour. I wanted red so it could go faster!

I do a bit of housework every 2-3 days to keep on top of it. My older boy peed on my duvet last night while it was on my bed! It was thrown back so I put my hand on it- eww. It's feather down which takes ages to dry. So now I have 2 duvets to wash (other has coffee stains), two cushions and two pillows that my older boy peed on, and a cotton throw he peed as well. I have a laundromat not that far which has a commercial washer (and dryer) so I'll take them there tommorrow with a good book.

I have already thrown away a futon mattress and a not so cheap small shaggy rug. Did you have any issues with Izzy peeing in the house?

Re: My special place

@Sans911you are not having any luck with your cat peeing on your bed. I have never owned a cat so not sure how you train them. Izzy did when she was a puppy, but hasn't for ages now. She will go to the back door now when she wants to go out.

Haha, I don't think a red vacuum cleaner goes faster!!! Izzy does try to attack the vacuum cleaner when I have it on. Have to put her outside as she just keeps barking and barking!

What else have you got planned for tomorrow?

I have to go get blood tests and have to get an MRI this week sometime.

Re: My special place

My cat's have 2 litter trays. One is a low, large underbed storage container. About the size of 2 1/2 litter trays and a regular one. I clean them twice a day. I think it's more behavioural than an issue but need to get it vet checked first and then move on from there. They both hate the vacuum cleaner and plastic bags. I've just clipped both their claws, as the older boy was catching his on the carpet. So now I'm being ignored by both. They won't let me touch them.

When they're a kitten you train them by putting them in the tray in the morning and evening as well as after meals. Sometimes you have to take their paw and show them how to dig and cover. With most cats it's an instinctual skill, because they cover there waste to detract from predators. Jasper has gotten much better at covering, but still lacks a few skills in this area.

Izzy is a good girl by the sounds of it.

Ahh, tomorrow I am volunteering at a morning tea in an aged care home. I quite enjoy this as have done before. And then pyschologist in the afternoon. Otherwise, not much else to do except stuff at home.
