Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

I can understand not wanting to go on too many meds @creative_writer Sometimes I feel like a walking pharmacy.

Can you do anything to ease that migraine?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I am still struggling so I don’t know what to do, I just don’t want five different types of meds.

Resting up, amber glasses and dinner might help. I feel awfully depressed right now. But I can’t seem to do stuff, doing stuff keeps me going

Re: My special place

I know doing things helps keep us busy and keeps us going @creative_writer but sometimes we have to allow ourselves to just step back and take some time out for ourselves.

We need to give ourselves that permission.

What things help when you feel this way?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I don’t want to feel as though I’m a failure, no good at things. I don’t want to think about all the shit I’ve been through. I don’t want to think how being in this emotional pain and physical pain is more painful than giving up.

I’m safe

Re: My special place

Sometimes what we think and feel always feels like a negative @creative_writer The feelings are very raw and real. It can make us feel like we are continuously going through it.

Giving up is a solution. Many times have I wanted too. There have been times where I was very close to it.

Sometimes amongst the pile of sh*t we need to try and find the positives.

You are doing uni, a lot of people with mh can't even do that

You are a loving daughter who puts her family first a lot of the time

You are an amazing person who regardless of what they are going through, will support others

The list can go on.

Glad you are safe.

Re: My special place

@creative_writer it's ok to feel this way. It's ok not to be ok. I know none of us want to end up in this position, but unfortunately we do at times.

Allow yourself time to feel these feelings.

Have you spoken to any of your supports about feeling this way? About your thoughts?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I had my psych appointment this week. I have my pdoc at the end of this month. I find it hard not to be paralysed by my thoughts. Even self care feels hard right now

Re: My special place

It might be something that you talk to your support/s about @creative_writer especially if it is becoming a regular thing.

When I feel that self care is hard, I try and just concentrate on one thing at a time and just getting through the next 10-30 minutes. Sometimes comfort comes in the smallest things.

Re: My special place

@Snowie I tend to get frustrated when I feel paralysed and unable to do anything. The overthinking and ruminating kicks in, because I can't do anything else because my brain refuses to let me do something. I get stuck in my head and do nothing. I waste so much time. I can't pick up and read a book, if I watched something I will be distracted, I have times when I don't want to move, because I am too overwhelmed to do anything even though I know it'll make me feel better. I can bring it up during my next appointment. It is very hard, I was like this during the day before too, until I increased my caffeine intake which helped me get up and going. Though it only helps for so long till I am back to this lousy self
