My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@Snowie managed to have a shower and did lots of hair care, I have high maintenance hair, and I’ve never dyed it. It’s a frizzy mess.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with spending some quality time alone with H on the weekend.

Your kids do sound very sweet. It sounds like your family is really supportive of you 💖

@lavenderhaze I’ve been rather exhausted but the emotional turmoil I was in earlier has eased, I take that as a positive. The weather is gloomy here too. I feel like going to sleep

Re: My special place

@tyme I think my kids or the thought of them have gotten me through some of my darkest moments. Even when I'm in hospital and not seeing them a lot, I will always talk to them.

For everyone I am sure it is different things that keep them going, but for me it is my kids (oh, better say hubby too!)

@creative_writer having a shower and washing your hair can be such a big chore so well done for getting it done. You can tick one thing of your list. Have you got any plans for this afternoon?

Re: My special place

Awwww @Snowie , that's so so sweet. They can cause tears, but kids bring so much joy too 🙂

@creative_writer , good on you for every accomplishment for today, no matter how great or small. It's a step in the right direction. Do walks help you feel better?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I might make some fish for dinner. Not much is planned, probably lots of self care, I feel too tired to do stuff for uni. What about you?

Re: My special place

@tyme how are you? walks can help, but I don’t think I have the energy today. I had two busy days at uni with lots of travel. Flu vaccine in the mix isn’t helping.

A shower can make a huge difference, I also hope the Haircare I did does make my hair less annoying and easier to comb.

@tyme I know teenagers like to keep a lot to themselves but I want them to be able to come to me for any reason with any issue and not be judged. I had a mother that I could never open up too. Still can't. I don't want to be like her.

@creative_writer I love fish, sounds like a nice dinner. Am going out to a friends house for tea. Really don't want to, but hubby does. Have to do the small talk again 😒

Re: My special place

That's a really special bond @Snowie . So glad to hear.

@creative_writer , sounds like your hair is a lot of work?? Mine is... actually.. put it this way, I hate doing my hair.. it's a lot of energy just washing it. I washed it as 6am today... so I leave it as much as possible before I wash it...

Re: My special place

I think I've done every thing opposite to my mum @tyme

Yes I was brought up with everything I needed, but walked on egg shells around her. She suffers from depression and anxiety herself, but would never get treatment for it.

And, you have a teacher's heart.. @Snowie

You know, I can actually pick out who are teachers based on how they interact with people?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I might actually be going out instead. I think my dad wants to go to this Persian restaurant. I am more than happy to go along where they decide.

@tyme I don’t have great hair, it behaves like damaged hair even though I don’t use heat or anything. I think I just naturally have dry hair and skin, I have to use lots of stuff. It can feel good once I do put the effort in, but I only really wash it twice a week since it’s too fussy. I do love skincare, especially when it’s chilled. Do you ever like to pamper yourself?
