Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@creative_writer I wish I could take your pain away too hon. I think with trauma that it is learning how to live with it, how to deal with it. I'm not sure if it ever goes away. I just hope that the good days outweigh the bad days.

Will be an early night here too @tyme Hopefully the Brownie keeps you going for awhile! That sounds yummy for dinner. Cooking something called porcupines here which comes down to meat in a sauce, mashed potatoes and vegies. One of the kids favourite meals.

Been cleaning here today. Got the bathrooms and kitchen done. Hopefully get some more done tomorrow. Also got to spend some time with D which was really nice. Between being in hospital and her at uni or work, it has been awhile. Didn't do anything special, but it was still quality time with her.

@Snowie !

Porcupines! I remember those as a kid. Don't they have pineapple in them?

Cleaning... blerghh... never ending. Do the kids help?

Re: My special place

@tyme, I hate living with complex MH and chronic physical pain. A average person my age would not be so fatigued and in pain from a day at uni. I hope you sleep well tonight, I am feeling rather sleepy, I think I need sleep too. Spinach noodles sounds nice.

@Snowie maybe one day things will make sense and it’ll feel better, but I feel like I’m far from that place. Spending time with D sounds lovely 💖

Re: My special place

No mine don't @tyme They have onion and rice mixed in with beef mince, cooked in a tomato sauce mixture in the oven. A really easy meal that everyone will eat!

The kids will help if I ask them. I don't clean their rooms. They are in charge of cleaning, dusting and vacuuming their rooms. They are both teenagers so that is a big task within itself!!

Re: My special place

@creative_writer my Dad lived with chronic physical pain. He ended up on disability. I saw how much it affected him, so my heart goes out to you. You show so much courage and determination every single day, by just how you keep going.

That place does seem far away at times hon. Just when you feel you are getting close, it feels like it is gone in a split second. I really hope we both get to that place one day.

Re: My special place

Nice @Snowie . Porcupines sound good. I can hear the kids next door "Eww! I don't want green spew noodles!"

I feel sorry for parents who spend time cooking for their kids to just turn their noses. But I remember you saying that your kids aren't fussy.

@creative_writer , sounds draining. I hope it gets better for you.

Re: My special place

Kids can be fussy @tyme but I am lucky with mine, they have always been good eaters.

I always make extra meals too and freeze them. That way if I don't cook then there are always spare meals in the freezer that they can just heat up. Both work part time so it is good when they have to eat before or after work too.

Re: My special place

Yeah @Snowie , of course they will be fussy if they've eaten 5 biscuits just before dinner!

I now hear a whole chorus of crying because I think my sister has left the house to go out and left the kids at home.

I'm so glad I don't have my own...yes they are cute when they are young and that's about it lol

@Snowie the thing that bothers me is people seem to think migraine is just a bad headache, it comes with other symptoms too. It can affect eyesight, make you feel weak and lightheaded. Once I felt numbness on one side of my body too, I just hope that doesn’t become a more common symptoms. I didn’t used to get visual auras, and that became a more normal symptom with time.

@tyme I’m resting up tonight. I just have a quiz to submit by tomorrow. It opens and closes tomorrow. It’s open book but we only have 20 mins which isn’t long. I’m not too stressed, don’t know if I should be
