Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@creative_writer Oh that is bad that your AD isn’t covered by medicare.
I take a mood stabilizer and antimania/psychosis med as well, but still can’t take strong ADs.
Are you feeling a bit better? I hope so.
I will go off line in an hour as I will be watching some footy which I hope will distract me. Hope you stabilise soon.

Re: My special place

@GezzaP, health is already so expensive enough already, I feel like the prices have gone up, it all adds up. I’m doing better than last night, still not feeling the best physically and emotionally, maybe it’ll take time. I hope you enjoy watching the footy 🙂

Re: My special place

@creative_writer Yes health is very expensive. I pay heaps tor my medications and I’m also taking a stop smoking medication so that adds to my costs. But I want to try to stop smoking. I lasted 6 months one time.
Glad you are better than yesterday. Stay well.

The footy is okay. It is currently half time, hence my answer.

Re: My special place

@GezzaP, meds plus appointments can add up. Feeling motivated to quit smoking is a good sign, I’m sure you can do it again, you’ve done it before. I do acknowledge that it’s hard, I have a number of relatives who were heavy smokers, I guess addictive personalities run in my family.

I do feel like things are getting more intense again, when I start thinking about unhealthy ways to cope, I know I’m in trouble, but I’m not sure if I care anymore. Addictive personality runs in my family anyways. [removed by moderator] What if it helps me feel better? I’m safe, it’s about coping with emotions rather than inflicting harm

Re: My special place

@creative_writer Yes I will try to quit smoking again and yes it is very hard.

Yes medical appointments can be expensive I get mine on medicare. Are you a smoker?

You sound very bad. Please don’t do anything bad. Get some help. The medications will help eventually. Yes there is a point and it is important to care. Please take care. I am thinking of you.

Re: My special place

@GezzaP, I’m not a smoker, but I want to do something else which nobody will approve of. I can’t say what on here, I had my previous post censored because I accidentally said too much. I don’t think I could handle the smell of smoke, I have high functioning ASD and a migraine brain which makes me sensitive to smells.

Psychiatrist appointments generally have a gap, I am grateful that I have low income health care card, so the limit is lower until Medicare can cover more of the out of pocket costs. I reached the threshold earlier this year, the initial appointments were expensive. I have one this coming Tuesday, hopefully that’ll help

Re: My special place

@creative_writer Oh good your not a smoker and have a low income health card. I don’t have any concessions, but my psychiatrist doesn’t charge me the gap luckily.

i know what you meant because your post hadn’t been censored when I got it. Please don’t think that. It would hurt everyone around you. I always try to think of the people around me. Sometimes that’s hard but that’s what I try to think of. You will improve and I’m glad to hear you are seeing your psych next Tuesday. I expect to hear from my psych on Tuesday too. She wants me to try cognitive behaviour therapy. I guess it is worth trying but I need to find a psychologist. Please take care of yourself.

Re: My special place

Hello @Shaz51 hope you are ok. I’m a little depressed. I have bipolar 1. So my moods fluctuate from time to time. It is really hard sometimes and I think it is worse as I age. I get very frustrated with myself. Sending you a hug too. @creative_writer Please look after yourself. People in here care for you and understand.
