Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Sorry @Mazarita. My dog wouldn’t let me be on my iPad any longer. I think you may be right with walking him first because he’s not going to let me do anything this morning. He is hyper and needing attention. I’m so not in the mood and we’ve been having a battle of who’s boss :face_with_rolling_eyes:. So I’m going to take a shower and hope it has the magic power of getting me walking with him sooner rather than later.

I hope you find something nice to reward yourself with this afternoon. I’m so impressed and you really are helping with my motivation. 🤗💜

My goal is to prepare myself for an MFA program. This stands for Master of Fine Arts in Writing I want to focus on writing poetry. There is an excellent program at the University of Adelaide. It is my longterm goal. TO get there I have small goals such as writing essays and learning to write better here as well.

Hi @Former-Member that sounds like a fabulous goal 👍😊

hi @Former-Member, @Maggie 👋

@Maggie ringside seats are always the best as I mentioned to @CheerBear the other day 😃

@Mazarita Brain and I have been bickering all day. It does not want to cooperate 😜. I spent 30 mins looking for my cup of coffee I put down somewhere. Took hours to get in the shower and then made lunch. Brain said "you wanted your toasted sandwich burnt didn’t you" as it distracted me 🤨. Have finally managed to get sheets in washing machine, second load on now. Pretty sure I’ve got this far off the back of your motivation. I hope you are chilling now.

Hi @Teej, @Maggie, @Former-Member, @Former-Member.

I am waiting for a bus now, coming home from my friend's place, a spontaneous arrangement after I finished art group earlier. Feels great to be out on the buses, independent.

Thanks, Maggie for following progress and giving encouragement. ox

Paleofirst, a fabulous ambition. There is a thread called 'writing as a form of therapy' where some of us post writing. A search on the forum will bring it up.

Teej, way to go on getting some things done! ox

I have achieved 2 phone tasks and 3 email tasks, thereby creating health and a future. Changed bedding, put on wash, and chatted to my son.

I am still not well ... its not a really bad cold, but its extra on top of head and neck pain. I am allowing myself to feel my head and face and all the tortion and putting my past actions of extreme overwhelm in perspective.

I am so tired. Wishing for my heavy head to rest.

Hello @Teej @Mazarita @Maggie @Former-Member @Former-Member

Hoping your days challenges are in hand.

@Appleblossom @Mazarita @Teej @Maggie @Former-Member and others

Well done Apple and also Mazarita yesterday.

Today was medical appointment day for my husband. So my daily goals were to get to the 2 appointments he needed to get to and also to get all his essential scripts done up. My motivation was that, being a long weekend coming up and no chemists open Sun/Mon, the meds are essential for hubby .

Other than that, I told myself I would fit in something for me. I finally finishing a portrait I commenced drawing months ago. Fairly happy with it. Might even post it to the art thread later.

Hi @Appleblossom, sounds like you had a productive day, despite feeling unwell. Hope you get the rest you need very soon.

Hi @Former-Member, well done on your day. Great that you got everything done and also finished a portrait. Please tag me if you post it on the art thread (if you remember), I'd be interested to see.

After an all-nighter and about 3 hours sleep this morning, I got to my lunchtime physio appointment okay. The rest of the day was spent partly on the forum and partly in bed catching up on sleep. Not sure what the evening will hold aside from dinner. But it's okay with me that I didn't do very much today, after a big one by my standards yesterday.
