Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

I too am back here @Mazarita. After reading your post last night and having been here so many days over the past few weeks but chickening out I’ve put my big girl pants on to write here.
I have no bench too that is visible currently and empty cupboards everywhere as all the dishes are stacked a mile high on the benches. I’d been doing so much better with this but have fallen into a huge abyss over the past fortnight.
I’ve missed my groups that are my only outlet to the outside world and haven’t been attending to my garden much.
Today my first goal is to get to group. I’m still in my pjs and needing a shower desperately. I have 30 min to get myself together to get there.
Then to take the dog for a walk
Then to start attacking the dishes.

@frog I wanted to let you know you are not talking to yourself here ever. I wish that I was better at responding but I always read your posts. I think they are great and help others too. Keep writing them cos you never know who is reading them in the background and connecting silently with them 💜🤗

Thanks @Bunniekins i went girl 😆 it has helped heaps to make me feel human for the first time in a bit. We played a new board game that completely took me out of my head and having to concentrate, it also bought out a bit of competitiveness in me which doesn’t happen often 😳😳😳

@eudemonism @Mazarita, @Faith-and-Hope how are you going with your goals today. Here for a hug and encouraging word if it’s not so good. Have left my competitive streak with the board game I promise.

Am currently procrastinating by writing this post in my car instead of attacking my dishes.

Best wishes all.

Sooo glad I made it to group and got out of my house.

Way to go @Shaz51. I’m tired just reading all you’ve accomplished today 😜. It’s lovely when you don’t have to think about tea. Enjoy your relaxing 💜😳

Awesome that you got to group, @Teej. It is so good to get out of the four walls, isn't it?

My goals remain untouched for the day. Instead I only just started the stuff I would have needed to do to even get to goal one. That is, I've had a wash and got dressed instead of being in my dressing gown at 4pm. Will keep trying over the weekend on the other things. At the moment I'm not even making my bed, which I've been doing almost without fail, daily, for some years. Not in the liveliest of places at the moment.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@Mazarita I’ve been in that space so much for the past few weeks. I know your change of meds is having an impact too so gently does it. I was 30 mins late to group, hair not brushed and knotty and didn’t clean my teeth. I usually try to at least turn up to places with those things done. Sometimes getting over the hump is huge. I’m glad I got there even if I looked and felt like crap but it doesn’t always work out this way.

So we both try again tomorrow. I have a todo list with 33 things on it I can’t face again. I only see the number and then don’t open it. Perhaps we can encourage each other to keep it simple.

Hugs. 💜🤗

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Agreed, @Teej. 33 things sounds too much. How about getting it down to 10 and then revise list when those are done?

Tomorrow I think I'm going to go right back to basics and start with things on my list like:

  • get up
  • wash
  • get dressed
  • make bed

Then everything else on my list can follow on. If I don't tell myself to do those basic things sometimes, I can't get over the hump to doing anything at all.

Good work going even ungroomed to the group. Just doing it anyway.
