Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

I don't think I could go on for almost 3 years like this.....I too, only leave the house for food and medical appointments @NatureLover

Being on the forums help a little bit with the loniless, but I feel like a loser at the same time - that I can't get my crap sorted and be well. I have truely put in the effort, but nothing is working and I'm only getting worse as each day passes. What if these new meds don't work - they are the last roll of the dice, I've tried every other AD family type. As you can see, I'm not having much success with psychologists either. She just makes me feel as though I have a 'choice' about being depressed. There's no way I choose to feel this much pain. It hurts, I ache and can't see that life is worth living. I can't think of one thing at the moment that is worth living for. I have no family, no friends, no job and pysical health issues as well as mental ones.

Thanks for your hug - it's appreciated 🙂

I'm sorry my post wasn't encouraging. @WIP

I know how discouraging it is when you're trying and nothing is working. Depression is the very worst, I think. But it's definitely not your choice - that psychologist doesn't seem well informed. I'm sorry she makes you feel that way. 😣

You say you have no friends, but you're making some on the forums here...see, you just made one this afternoon! 🙂 Do you have a thread where people here can follow and support you?

😊 You've made me smile for the first time today @NatureLover I have made a friend - thank you!

I'm still getting used to how these forums work properly - I started one called 'Changing Meds' and then I've been sort of scrolling through topics that resonate with me & adding myself, or making a comment.

Ive calmed down a little bit and aren't wildly crying (thanks to a magic little pill that I depend upon too much), so am thinking a little bit clearer. I know I'm being impatient with wanting my news to start working. The pessimist in me, keeps telling me they aren't going to work & im going to be this miserable forever.

I will be keeping my fingers crossed that the meds kick in sooner rather than later, and are successful, @WIP ...

Me too @WIP .... and another gentle hug coming your way 💕

Jugsaw puzzles and crosswords are two of my go-to's for getting out of my head when it's full of unhelpful thoughts.

I really like that @Maggie

I am trying to let myself off the hook a bit today and suspend my list, though I am not good at letting go! Sometimes it makes me better able to face Mondays if I've given myself a break.

Take care @frog . I hope you can let go a little today, though I understand the ‘ not good at letting go’.

I’m in the garden today, or I have been. Coffee time now. ☕️☕️☕️

@Maggie

I actually have this as a magnet on my fridge and see all the time, but honestly just glaze over it and don't really take much notice of it. However, your post of it today has made me recognise how powerful its message is! 😊

Oh that's a Good one @Maggie

Reminds me of Tony Robbins - "Focus on the small (Good) things - Zoom in (with camera) & make them Bigger & Brighter"....
