Turtle check-in station

Psssssst @Former-Member,

Look, this is me being super good and following @NikNik's instructions to keep threads on track (notice I tagged NikNik so that she won't miss this moment of my awesomeness ). Based on NikNik's instructions, I figured maybe we need a new space for checking in.

I am FINALLY feeling brighter after having my second session with TTT today. It is SUCH a relief to finally have connected with someone who I feel super safe with. It is tricky at the moment because we are in that super early stage where she knows nothing about me and thus I have to go through the whole looooooooong story all over again. However, assuming she doesn't get squashed by a bus or something, I can see that in time she will be able to help me unmuddle my muddle a bit.

It is super hard starting over. She knows so little about me at the moment and yet already she is being brutally honest about the fact that it is going to take quite a bit of time to unmuddle the muddle. I am a bit scared that as the story comes out more, we are going to shift from "this is going to take quite some time" to "I'm sorry Phoenix_Rising, but some of this is simply never going to be fixed." Sigh...

Anyway, I am so very very glad I found TTT. How are you and Mr Darcy going at the moment? Is it super hot in your part of the world. It has cooled down here in Sydney now. The other day it reached 47 degrees at my place which is quite absurd. Happily I have airconditioning so S and I just hid in the house all day.

@Faith-and-Hope glad to hear things are calmer for you.
I saw you there on Tuesday night but didn't hang round for long, too tired.
Hoping to get back there and read over it all.

@Phoenix_Rising avatar taken from internet - saw it and laughed.

Am not quite up to speed on pics - did give it a go and managed to put some words on one, not quite up to speed, need to spend a bit more time if I am to succeed.

Noticed the topicTuesday on mindfulness - Mr D's psychologist once told me that she thought I naturally practiced a few mindful things, but if I have things on my mind I have to be intentional - this does not involve the observation side of things. I do understand that it is very helpful for some (including yourself) and avoid giving my own thoughts on the matter as I do not want to discourage those on the forum who find it useful.

How is that puddy tat of yours? How is your violin playing coming along?

Darcy

Re: Turtle check-in station

Hi @Former-Member and @Determined,

Things remain very very tricky in my world. And the fact that I'm not allowed to talk openly about the muddle here in Forum Land makes it even harder. TTT is the only person I can talk to about it and it continues to dominate our sessions. Last Monday she told me that the wrongness of the wrong (and all the subsequent fallout from it) was not my fault. She says it was not due to wonky communication on my part, as I had been told, but that rather, those involved had simply not been able to cope with...well...me. This is the story of my whole life. People walk in, get overwhelmed, and then walk out again. It would be infinitely better for me if they didn't walk in, in the first place.

It is really really hard for me to be in Forum Land now because just being here triggers all the distress around the wrongness of the wrong. I so very very badly wish things could go back to the way they were before the wrongness of the wrong happened.

Anyway, that's my little dump for the day. I hope you both have a blessed Easter.
