Ive got a candle here. A pink rose scented one that i light each date eg xmas birthday etc and i take flowers to her grave as well. @Sans911

I just remembered my foster sister's father passed when I was seven years old. He was my hero and idol. I guess I didn't think of him in my last post because he's not part of my biological family. I only knew him for four years but over 40years later I still can picture what's he is like and it still really hurts. He was everything I wanted in a father. A gentle man, firm but fair. He's buried in a cemetery on the way to my foster sister's place. It's a difficult place to drive into, and I no longer remember the date of his passing or his birthday but he was only 49. The age I'll be next year. So when I can, I take flowers to his grave and I clean it up. Then I sit and talk to him. I tell him how much I miss him and love him and that won't ever change. I tell him he means more to me than he'll ever know.

You never stop loving certain people @outlander. They are always in your heart. Even now thinking about R brings tears to my eyes and an ache in my heart.

Your right there @Sans911 some people stay and have like an imprint effect on us dont they. He sounds wonderful and im glad you are still able to see him too. Hugs to you too. Sounds like we both have achy hearts tonight. I lost a close friend here on the forums today too (not by death but they've left). Thank you for sharing that wity me. You have such a big and kind heart 💜
