@Snowieyes it was. my psych ended up in tears and had no idea what to say to me and said now i get why your scared like you are. she just kept telling me to breathe and then keep talking about it
she pushed me really quite hard and basically relived my entire dog trauma. including the sights, sounds, smells. who was there, when it happened. she kepts asking me alot of questions about it.
it took me an hr to be able to drive i couldnt stop crying or shaking and just extreme emotions all over the place. and then i come home and was like it again for another 2 hrs but then had to go out.
i wasnt safe at home and the only things i could think of was to make sure my sisters were safe. that was all because this trigger involved the fears surrounding my sisters. so i went out there with them for abit.
this is only just the beginning 😞
tomorrows the aniversary of it through till tuesday. im back home now so its harder again but trying to keep distracted with movies and finishing off my drawing atm
hoping your road trips going ok, very long drive, you must be feeling rather tired

thank you @Shaz51
@Snowiethank you, shes been pushing me to talk about it since the second sesison and this is the 4th one now. i could feel those emotions coming up before i even spoke about it. she doesnt ask how im coping and today when i said i wasnt coping she brushed it off and said the only way youll get through it is to talk about it. she doesnt debrief except the end when she said make sure you plan some things and keep safe at the end of this session. she didnt know how to help me when i broke down either. we spoke abit and she said that i need to be more independent and stop relying on my mother. i said im not that dependent on her its jsut hard to work around some things involving her- she got abit snappy and said thats not an excuse.
yeh easter is a major yukky time for me., i hope this time away helps you through this yukky time for you too and thank you for still being here but please make sure you have some fun too and enjoy the experience too.

I see you have had a really challenging day. I understand you are probably still really anxious tonight. But your pyschologist is right about one thing. You need to set some activities in place- in DBT this is called COPE AHEAD. If you go to the DBT Self-Help website and look this up, you will see what it's about. Can you do that now? Then we will set some things up together for this weekend ok? The only way you are going to move forward with this is to focus on more positive things to look forward to. Do you have your sisters this weekend? And have you got anything planned at all?
