Re: rough time
Breathing apps and meditation stuff has had the total opposite effect of chilling out and calming down before @outlander. I remember once being hit with a huge Must.Move.Fast.Now jolt when I was trying them and sometimes they make me feel frustrated and more tossy turny.
Something that takes you on a journey away from yourself (like with a book) can be a different experience, though I get that in this kind of need to move state everything can seem to make it harder.
Baking muffins is one of my other tricks at times like this. Calling it quits on trying to sleep and throwing a packet of White Wings Triple chocolate muffins that I almost always have an emergency packet of in the cupboard for times when anxiety (or whatever) takes over, can help me.
What about not trying to stop the moving and simply letting it happen? Is that something that may help? Eventually it will stop itself. Eventually something will change.
Hugs ❤

Re: rough time
Hi @outlander
I use a fan to sleep to, I find the white noise from the fan very comforting and decreases any thoughts I am having.
I hope that helps.

Re: rough time
Oh ok CB ill see about a book then and see if it helps... Pity i didnt have something to bake id try that too.
I tried just accepting that itll stop eventually but it never seems to stop Ive been in bed since 830/9 and been tossing around ever since. It is every single night this happens. I tried to rule out cause like things on my mind but i dont have anything in particular on my mind. I journalled this arvo so it would be be all out. When i get to up and need to move i will pace or mop the floors or yesterday i scrubbed the walls in the kitchen but im getting really tired and dont want to move at all but my body just wont stop. I asked go for help and she wont help me. @CheerBear

Re: rough time
I wonder if maybe 8:30/9 is too early @outlander (even though I'm guessing you're really tired by then)?
I scrubbed (can still do that) a lot when it has been hard to sleep. In refuge I barely slept and found myself bleaching and scrubbing anything and everything throughout the night. The house sparkles sometimes when my stressy/overthinking/anxious head kicks in to action 😉 But it is very tiring really and sometimes the more tired I am the harder it can be to unwind and fall asleep (like over tired maybe).
I'm not far off putting on some books on YouTube to relax with. I'm trying to condition myself to fall asleep to them hoping it will help - if nothing else it feels like I'm having fun with an experiment I guess.
Ps - not sure if you need to have a particular thing on your mind to have lots on your mind. You've got lots that goes on and that wouldn't make for a quiet mind often 💕

Re: rough time
I know but it's funny, remember someone also who had members of a bird club at her house admiring birds in the backyard when her cat decided poor timing to grab one in front of them.... She was embarrassed and they were horrified! Lol
