Re: rough time

Its ok to be anxious hun, anyone in your situation would be @outlander

I am glad your mum is taking it serious. You need to look after you first.

Just try and do some things for yourself today. A nice shower/bath, some essential oils, listen to music, draw. I know you know all of these things anyway.

Just think of today as a "me" day.

Re: rough time

thanks @Snowie
Im going to do some study soon I think. im about a module behind cause ive been procrastinating so my aim is to at least do an hours study on it and then prob find some movies. I brought some new movies for the kids but I don't mind watching them sort either I haven't seen them and they are newer movies so im ok with that ill just disinfect everything I touch till I find the results.

how are you going?

Re: rough time

Well done on getting the test done @outlander. I had a test several years ago for something different but the test was up my nose. It was very unpleasant. I know I kind of urged you into getting tested, and I appreciate you listening to me. We have a saying in medicine - treat as if it's the worst thing and hope for the best. So it's like working backwards. In all probability you don't have the virus, but what if you did and continued looking after your sisters and pop? It's a few days of inconvenience for your mum but your health and everyone else is critical in these times. I'm glad the nurses were nice to you. I'm sure they understand how scary these times are for people.

It'll be good for you to study in the next few days. I'm around so you can bounce things off me anytime.

And try to eat healthy, nutritious meals so buying something with your mother sounds good.

You know how much you are loved here. You have all of us to support you in these challenges you face. Lean on us lil Sis

Re: rough time

yeah it was unpleasant but I think theres much worse than having swabs done that way @Sans911 I was dreading if it was the one they put at the back of your throat trough your mouth - that one makes me gag so bad.

it was :pile_of_poo: scary but I know it was best to get tested, if I have It and carried on everyday life I cant imagine how many others I could've infected. im at home 90% of time time only going out for essentials but I have enough stuff here for a few days and done a order with mum as shes in the same boat trying to find proper meals with meats fruit and veg almost non-existent

I might be stubborn but I do listen to you, so thank you for that push.
yeah im really grateful those nurses took the time and didn't just rush into it otherwise it may have been worse off for sure. just have to wait for the results now.

I may need you in the next module actually, I just had a look and it looks more challenging then the past 2. I just need to finish one of the topics notes and do the quiz.
if I need any help ill give a shoutout If that's alright.

Re: rough time

No - that's not off-track @outlander - that's spot on and so great that your Mum is actually stepping up and helping atm. Sharing different ways of managing also helps.

I was a shared spell of helping each other out last night - I am so glad you were there and I was glad to help too

Your Pop - quite a story - you are doing really well though it has to be difficult

Re: rough time

definently @Owlunar that's why we are here though to help each other out.

ive set pop up with some pens, cross words, findawords and a few movies that I had saved for easter or for when I need them ie im away for a day and he needs something to do so I think nows appropriate esp since hes not use to me hibernating in the bedroom atm

hows your day looking?

Re: rough time

Hey @outlander
Thinking of you my friend. I hope it's an okay result with the test. Even still, there are safety measures which can be put in place. It's hard I know but just remember that we are here for you and that there are helps available. I am also glad your mum is taking it seriously.

Stay well my friend and keep us posted.

Re: rough time

I forgot about the test @outlander

I am so glad the nurses didn't rush you and gave you time to relax and breathe - but yucky yes - and there are worse tests I can think of

But now you know what getting something up your nose is really like - great expression really - I will think twice before I use it again and hope I don't have to have that one - or anything else for that matter

I've nearly always got a runny or a stuffy nose - hayfever - at least I know an antihistamine willl work - a swab up my nose - icky

I'm glad you've had it done and really have my fingers crossed that you are clear

It's really hard typing with my fingers crossed

All the best
