Woah, you have had a few bad experiences with psych's. Unofrtunately in any job we get the bad ones, ok ones. good one's and amazing one's. Seems like you have had a few of the bad one's.
I am super happy that you have made this decision on your own and are doing it for yourself and not for someone else. Shows how much you want to improve.
As far as your mother goes, you are an adult, therefore she can say what she wants, however she has no say over your medical treatment and what you decide. The other good thing about being an adult it that she has no right to know what happens within your sessions.

Yep they really turned me of psych sessions @Former-Member and just went off on my own. I couldnt accept their help and was more worried of how bad it was going to be. The psych i seen recently the one my mother told me to go to over rulled me and had her judgements before i even walked in the door. Mum and her bf thought ahe needed to know sbout my hosp admission and only showed their half of it. When i went in there i already knew as she wast listening in the first place.
So i really hope this one will be ok. I am hoping and going in with an open mind and heart and relaly giving it my best and if it doesnt work then im done. I dont want to make it 8 therapists

@outlanderwell at least with this one your mother has nothing to do with it.
It is great that you are going in with an open mind. Will be hoping for your sake that it works out for you. The more support we can get the better.

Exactly and i no longer bring up mg psych sessions etc with her anymore @Former-Member i also told my mothet that that psych was unhelpful and was making me worse by not helping me. Havent brought it up since.
I have nothing to loose by seeing this psych so why not hey

exactly @outlander, your mother has no say.
Yay for being an adult and making our own decisions. I tell my mother very little and even then she only hears what she wants to hear anyway.
I am going to log off soon. Have taken my full amount of meds tonight hoping they will zonk me out. Am in bed ready for it. So if I stop responding then I have fallen alseep!!
