rough time

I'm doing a lil better @outlander. I've been at a suicide prevention forum this morning which was good. I also caught up with some people I know and hadn't seen for a while. Got my quota of real time hugs. I just have to limit my time here in the forums for a little longer. I feel a bit like Zoe in that it's really distressing to see so much struggle here, especially when I can't do much about it in a practical sense. You all mean the absolute world to me, but my heart is breaking. I'm still very much keeping up with what's happening but I also need time for my own self care especially with the intensity of things over the last few weeks. I hope you understand and please don't think less of me or that I don't care.

@Sans911 your day sounds lovley. I wouldnt take any offence, you look after you and even though your in the background atm its more then enough 💕 same for you @Teej and others just using likes atm. More then ok and is enough. 💕 definently getting those feelings too. It is heart breaking indeed.

I am looking forward to the weekend and will be a good time for self care too. I havent done much photography for a while so will be nice to be doing that and with no pressures either. Can play around with added effects as well. Just watching some club members in the events and taking pics as i go. Its a 2 day event and goes all day both days. I wont be there the entire time but a few hrs each day will be plenty. Can catch up with people from other clubs ive known for a while too. Hopefully its not as hot as expected though otherwise we might be melted at the end of the day 🙀🌡

Theres a high possibility that we will be taking a yr off from these commitments but i think ill still volunteer for photography and fb upkeep as not many have been doing that plus i enjoy it and we intend on joining back up after a yrs break anyway. I was commended the other day that in a yr the likes went up by 28 so far since ive been upkeeping with pics and updates so that was nice.

Just wanted to share this bit of positive. I havent had many so its a nice change.

I'm not sure if you're aware @outlander but I really enjoy photography too. I have done since I was a teenager. So to hear you getting enjoyment from it really warms my heart. Obviously your pictures are attracting interest and leading to greater awareness of the fb group which is great. In all the busyness of your life and commitments to find time to do things you enjoy and are good at is hard but you have managed to slot in some me time. Well done & wtg.

It was very hot here the other day - mid 30s and now we have temps in the teens, blustery winds, rain and hail. So it's going to be a hot Milo night tonight. ♥️

What sort of photography do you like to do? Maybe you should do some photography too, then we can share the ones we can with each other and maybe others will join in too.

Weve had hot weather all week and next week ia much the same except monday and Tuesday with some rain forecast. With so many fires most of my area and surrounds are so hazy. Makes good pics though esp at sunrise 😏

Hot milo sounds nice, i had one earlier even though its not to cold. Just felt like one so is reason enough for me lol.

I'm lazy now and mostly use my phone but I have a couple of dslrs. And I'm not that good at manual settings. I like lots of different subjects but I mostly take photos when travelling. One of my pet hates are selfies and selfies in front of important monuments. When I travel I take photos for memories and learning purposes. And I like photographing animals too. I have some nice animal shots from my African trip a few years ago. What sort of camera do you have/use?

I use my phone too @Sans911 Its 32megalixel so its ok quality though i have my eye on a DSLR camera that after december ill put onto my zippay account and pay it off that way. Im always taking pics of the kids riding or at club events so itll get some good use.
I like nature and animal pics but also more action shots too. Keeps things interesting and challenging getting the pic your after.
Mum said i could use hers but it over 10 yrs old and starting to show its age with fuzzy or out of focus pics so better to get a newer model.
Yep dont like selfies at all. I do like some family pics though for keep sakes but not selfies.

Im pretty sure it was you who showed me a pic of a waterfall or something from above during a helicopter ride. :pile_of_poo:scared of heights but those sorts of pics are more memorable to me then any selfie

That was Victoria Falls. I saw it in two countries on the ground and then by helicopter. Oh and then I took a sunset cruise on the river above it and saw hippos! Africa holds many mixed emotions and memories. I had to come home a week early as I became extremely distressed and suicidal. That is a bitter-sweet memory that still makes me teary even now.

The new mirror less slrs are supposed to be good as less parts to break down. My dslr broke on a hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti. I was not happy at all & I've still yet to get it fixed. Yeah, action shots are tricky but when you get it right looks fantastic.
