@outlander

I have read back a bit. I'm glad the operation went well but it concerns me when I hear the care you received wasn't up to standard.

I hope you are going a bit better now. You have been in my thoughts lots hun. I am glad you are back on here. Sitting with you sweetie

Re: rough time

Love to you beautiful @outlander I had surgery myself about a month & a half ago, a bi-lateral mastectomy, & I was blown away with how little discomfort I've felt. I thought to myself on several occasions 'I've had dental pain so much worse than this'! I can only imagine what it would feel like to have 7 teeth surgically removed!! I've only even had 1 taken at a time, I have had stitches & they were very uncomfortable! But I know how courageous & strong you are & unfortunately how much pain you have endured in your lifetime already, you've got this recovery covered Claire

Morning @Exoplanet
sorry just missed your post. How is your surgery going now? ive been following along just not the past few days, still trying to catch up on everyones news. im really glad that you didn't feel much discomfort

atm it is very uncomfortable, one side is better then the other so im able to sleep on that side now. the other side though was painful even before the anaesthetic work off properly. throat is still rather sore but getting better same as jaw stiffness. I have more of a voice now, so can talk a little bit for longer. Still really only managing a few tablespoons of soft/mashed/pureed foods atm too. the meds they gave me don't seem to be reacting to it though, I don't know why. I see the specialist on Friday so ill talk to her about it but have gp there is I feel the need to go. I have the symptoms of the nerve damage they were talking about so that could explain the pain and still more numb then usual even though its been nearly a week now. I also get pulsating tingling through my jaw, lip and chin and it causes an itch but since its numb I cant really feel my scratching anyway, super damn annoying and gets abit distressing sometimes too. 😣😣😣😣
Im still mostly hibernating at home since most of my jawline either side has the bright yellow coloured bruising.
7 plus 2 sets of extra stitches seems to have taken over my mouth, all I can feel is those but at least they are dissolvable so I don't have to worry about them getting taken out. that's one of the worst parts, the feeling grosses me out lol.
even though its a lot im thinking getting them all taken out at once was prob the best option rather then getting 1 or 2 taken out. not sure I could keep going to the dentist that often 😬

Sending much love and hugs to you 💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡

Re: rough time

I'm here @outlander, but just get ready to leave for my appointment at the Plastics Clinic. I can chat on the train and while I'm waiting if you still need someone to talk to.

Re: rough time

On the train @outlander. What was he doing to overwhelm you? My appointment is never the time given as it us a general plastic clinic for all sorts of reasons. Therefore they're always running behind as some patients take longer than others to see. Most of the time I wait about half hour to an hour but some people have to wait up to two hours. That's big public hospitals for you. In a fair bit of pain this morning. I'll study a little when I get home and then it'll be time for my volunteer walk.
