You need to put yourself first sometimes @outlander
You need to get this surgery for you, you cant keep having the pain in your teeth.
Let others step up and look after your pop while you tend to yourself. I know that is easier said then done however.
Psych appt. was ok today. We spoke about changing to a more specialised psych and decided it was the best thing to do. There are two that he recommended that work at the same clinic so he is going to talk to them and then we will talk about it next week. It wont happen straight away but it will happen within the next month or two. I think in the short time it will be more difficult but in the long run it will be better for me.

Hi @outlander I got through it. Today was bad. Going to take something to help me sleep and hopefully not have nightmares again.
Hope you're doing OK 🌻🌺:ok_hand:

Your concerns about your pop are valid @outlander and I can understand your worries. But this op is needed. Whether you do it in a month or in 6 months the worries will still be there. Your family are just going to have to step up and help your pop if needed. Perhaps you can let his doctor know and something can be put in place for him. Perhaps even a list of emergency numbers that include family and professionals that he can use if needed. Or can someone come and stay with him whilst you are away.
Just some suggestions hun, but I know how hard it is with your family.
I think I need a psych who specialises in trauma work and cptsd so I think it will help me. I feel that I'm having ups and downs but not accomplishing anything. Hopefully this will help with recovery.

I am going to be completely honest with you here @outlander The fact that you are even considering not having this surgery is self-sabotage. You have been in constant pain for a long time and that also affects how you cope with your mental health. The only decision you have to make is one for you. You have family that have said they will step in and quite frankly with you not being around they will have to. It is about time some of that pressure is taken off of your shoulders. If you choose to go down the path of delaying surgery then the only one that will suffer will be you. Whatever happens with your pop will happen whether you are there or not and maybe it is about time you let go of the reigns a bit here and get that help. You are the only one that can make those changes and maybe this is a chance for others finally to take some of that pressure off you and give you a life that does not revolve around caring for everyone else for a change.
