Re: rough time

I am glad you are doing all your craft, distracting, supporting others, and planning for pop etc. Yes, deflecting thoughts can be hard work.

@outlander Hospital can also be a place to catch lots of things not always the best place to be, so managing things at home can be better.

I am doing a few choirs and it can be 2-3 per week. The zoo is a few times per month. I had a break and had a couple of weekends away.

I also have a lot of medical appointments. Ndis planning is steady. Had 2 phone calls setting up physio and OT today.

Re: rough time

Morning all. I hope the morning has started/will start well enough for everyone.

After speaking with my psych and my GP yesterday, I've decided to try and get up and out into the big world today and head in to my gig thing. I've been checking in with myself and asking myself whether I can be helpful there and whether it's helpful for me to be there. I'm pretty sure the answer to both is yes, even though tricky head is doing a great job at saying no to pretty much everything. I plan on talking to the person I should be speaking with there about it which feels a bit scary as I really like to at least appear as if everything is totally fine even though I know that's detrimental to me at times. I also plan on checking in with myself while I am there and leaving (without hating on myself - that's a tough one) if I get too wobbly. I'm well practiced at getting through rough times and need to try and hold on to that right now.

I think I just wanted to share this today, in part to psych myself up a bit, part to practice taking off the "totally fine here" mask and part as a reaching out/staying connected kind of thing.

@outlander I'm sorry I dropped out last night. I hope you had some rest from your fizzy bottle.

Big ❤ to all

Hi @CheerBear , good luck with your day and the 'unmasking'. It's something I've been pondering for a while myself. Take care. 🙂
