Yep @outlander back to the Zoe Method. It takes practice - a lot of practice but you can do it ![]()
One of the things I have learnt on here is that it is impossible to be 'everything to everyone' - it is draining on oneself and can lead to further personal pain. That does not mean not supporting people but choosing when and if to provide that support. If you are not feeling great yourself and personally need support then it is maybe a good idea not to try and spread yourself 'too thinly' but however to accept support yourself and let others provide support for those others that need it - this is the same irl - as @Former-Member mentioned - boundaries are important.

You certainly have become more selective @outlander and I see you 'step back' a lot when others are providing support for someone - but also remember that if you have something to contribute then your view/opinion/advice is just as important and just as valued as anyone else's - wer all have different persepctives on things and yours is no more or no less as valid
The one massive positive I have seen today is something really simple - you changed your avatar. The previous few have been very dark but this one is a little more uplifting - it may not seem a big thing but your avatar reflects who you are and if you are portraying yourself as dark then you start to believe that yourself - these are the little things that actually matter when we are talking about our subconscious and what affects it.

@outlander,always have those pathetic people in our lives unfortunately, like the others say it's how we deal with it.I wish I told more off in reflection instead of letting it sit on my shoulders. We can only hope we meet the right people one day who respect and accept us for who we are instead of using us to make themselves feel good through the unacceptable norms of human behaviour that permeates society.

thank you for yesterday @Zoe7 i am trying to stick to the plan i made alot earlier in the yr. i sometimes take day breaks from here too and only log on later in the night to make sure im not spending to much time on here. i know ive been a little slack with that lately some of that is bordeom from not being able to do much but ive found something else to do in the day now too and will be enrolling in another course (im hoping but not sure if it would be too much at this stage)
i like my new avatar though it doesnt look as good as the larger picture- a little harder to see on a smaller avatar. . it goes with 3 of my likes and interests- nature, art & horses.

Hi @outlander @Zoe7
Stepping back is a good idea - I practise this myself - it means I have to take the time to care for myself - take a good look at myself - spend time with myself
But we all do what helps - I wish you the best Outlander and thanks Zoe - the suggestions you give are really sound - good ideas
