Yeh I always feel like the weight of the world is on my shoulders alone 😤 Like there is this enormous constant feeling of aniexty right on my sternum makes it hard to breath sometimes. Life's pressure just enhance and make whatever mental illness I have worse.
Of course it doesn't help that I constantly make terribly self destructive choices that just send me down that rabit hole just a bit more.
I must say on thing that did actually help allot after my SH attempt was a comment from the movie SING ( it's a kids movie) and the comment was "when you at down and have nothing left to loose ... The only way is up" ...
The only way is up , so life even when it get to SH situations it can only get better from when u reach you lowers of lows.

Do people have strategies for how to compartmentalise thoughts that are just all ova the shop especially @ like 3am which prevent sleep.
My thoughts always torment me and I very rarely know who's voice am I really hearing my own or not hard to tell. ?

@thunderclap Yes I have one that I use alot I visualise the thought and put it into a box and close the lid. It works for me very well and then I forget about it.

Re: CRY FOR HELP version 2
@thunderclap Hmmmm .... I visualize a black box I place the thought into the box and close the lid then I visualize the box slowly disappear. It has helped me deal with things like grief, anxiety, depression etc. it really helps me. The thoughts may come back later but I keep doing it as it sometimes is the only way I can deal with things otherwise it can all become overwhelming. I hope it may help you thunderclap.

Hi @thunderclap🙂
Looks like you and @Bunniekins are talking about an interesting topic. I wondered if this thread here might be at all helpful where @utopia and @Chris are talking about some of their strategies they have within their toolbox.
Have you tried an app such as Smiling Mind or Calm to try and refocus in those moments? I really like the sleep stories in the Calm App or via the website here
Take care.
