Re: Having a really hard time
Well i know your listening, so thats good.
Ive just refilled my glass and Leo (my cat) is comming to life!
His sitting in the kitchen on cocktoach patrol. Yes thats right he goes looking under the fridge and the dish washer and in the laundry. I dont like it when he eats them! Uhhhh crunch crunch.
What plants will you put in your sensory garden?
I have some gardenias in pots. Think they have outgrown the pots though leaves are getting smaller. I think there pot bound.
Roses in the front garden. Mr lincon. I think my favourite is the apricot necture. It always has masses of blooms and the scent is divine.

Im not too sure yet, but I really like I think they are lambs ears? They are super soft
And I'd put water feature and things that make noise
Some different paths too
I'm trying to think about what my sister would like @Chris

We put in a water feature at our old house.it had a stream that ran into a bigger pond. I put in a few trees and a cottage garden. It attracted all manner of insects. Dragon flies, frogs. The pond had gold fish in it, untill one day my cat went fishing!

Hi @Former-Member & @Chris
Hope you dont mInd me butting in. I really liked your talk about gardens.
I have lamb's ears ground cover. They are and soft, spread well, need minimal water/ care once established and have beautiful tall flowers.
I am on a secret mission to take over my court with them. ![]()
If I can have my patch o' dirt mate. I am sure you can get yours ... one day.

Not this cat. Hes not allowed outside, although he does try sometimes. Hmmm. Lavender is very fragrant and has different textures. Rose petals are silky soft and fragrant. I like your idea of the lambs ears too. You could google sensory gardens to get some ideas too. Im so limited where i live now. My husband has made it a concrete jungle! So i have pot around the back of the house. The heat is getting to everything though at the moment. I have a good display of patunias out the front at present. Hoping they will last through summer.
I want to mass plant daffodils inbetween the roses in autumn.

Re: Having a really hard time
I didnt know lamb ears flowered appleblossom. I thought they were all leaves. Im not much of a gardener really. If i see something i like i try it out if it survives great if it dies i dont buy it again. Im finding the pots are hard. I go days without watering then over water them and they get sick. This hot weather is slowly killing off everything.
I did plant some dwarf sunflower seeds which are doing really well. They are so cute. I also helped my two yougest grandoughter make fairy gardens and when they visit i get them to see if any more fairys have been. I add little things. The latest was i put a unicorn with tiny fairy in each one.
