The Word Must Live

Many hear the Word— but are fooled.
truth knocks on the doors of their sore.
Yet often suffering hearts remain ruled,
by what has them down on the floor.
For minds overcome by the rule of the lie,
are restless, driven and never at ease.
Has us thinking happiness we can simply buy.
Chasing desires that fade as they’re seized.

For a ruler unseen, yet deeply obeyed,
through habits of thought our life is shaped;
till all what was given as our life from above
we traded away for the cravings we loved. Romans 8:7
We too wander from the Father’s loving embrace,
as we spend what was given and we cannot replace;
for all that is gained from us through grasping demand
slips through our soul like dry shifting sand. Luke 15:11–32
Yet Christ's truth does not shout
He enters purely as The Light,
revealing what has been blotted out
making wrong visible to our sight.
Not to condemn us ever so sore,
but to uncover within what us binds,
and to loosen the grip inside our core
for that is what governs our minds.
For deception must be brought into day,
and the lies believed slowly fade away. 2 Thessalonians 2
For Jesus Christ is not just distant in time,
nor is He bound to a story, nor held in by a line.
He calls to all for Him to be known
not only His Name to own
but live The Life He also did.
Not that we will in His place sit
never to rise or take His place,
but humbly walk His Spirit of grace
living under His umbrella of His love
For then we are always good enough.
So “Be doers,” the Word tells us plain
“not hearers alone without any gain.” James 1:22
For His truth by us left undone
is gone the shadow midday sun.
For His Seed awaits the heart
to give birth to what is set apart
The truth of God Alive in us to be
Father's love and truth setting free
After this come the moment we see
quiet, sudden as the rule in lies flee
For what once was so far and distant
is suddenly Alive within us in an instant.
The Word making us His life in us true
no longer written words on a page to do
but His bright light making hearts anew
His love the power of our accusers slew

Even the truths of the Book of Revelation
is not far in the future for some distant nation
The Word will then our true life reveal
even as His truth opens the seventh seal,
and our new life enters His fullness.
And we are filled by His goodness.
And so are us a people down here
still imperfect but we no longer fear
we no longer only hear His truth,
but learn to act on His Voice.

and make God's will our choice.
To walk also His truth our truth true,
Awakened to the truth we now do.
to turn from the old making blind
His Spirit walking us into His light.
No striving for greatness for self.
no let demand our freedom shelf.
but shaped by the truth that is Him.
His love and truth no longer dim.
For the old does not fall away.
by our efforts or mighty sway.
nor by rules imposed by force.
For laws get us of the right course
Such tales fade the greater truth of sin
The Living Word must take hold within,
even as we His truth embrace,
more of His good life in us stays.
So let it be asked by us ever day
not only a mind the same to say:
Do we know the Word in our me?
or do we define how truth ought to be?
Is the truth going deeper make us true?
is His life within us revealed by what we do?
Is the Word Alive. active and real?
Are we Living Jesus the real deal?

To act out of the faith of Jesus always knows The Right Way God pleases.!

Yes! I also love that the tar that seeps out from inside me through my pores (sin) is washed clean and that I'm forgiven for my past, present and future sin's all in one go. Does that want to make me sin more because I'm justified through Christ? Just the opposite, @Realness Getting deeper into the verses is like a minnie bible study for me each morning and is deepening my understanding and relationship with the Lord. I thank God that He's using AI to help me get closer to Him! 💚

Romans 9

- Paul grieves for the Jews who have not accepted Christ.

- Uses the example of Rebecca pregnant with Jacob and Esau - God tells her the older will serve the younger while they are still in the womb - God's election/purpose will stand.

- Does that mean there is injustice with God?

- "I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."

- God also used Pharaoh's hardheartedness to show His power.

- He has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy and He hardens whom He wants to harden.

- Why then does he still find fault? For who can resist His will?

- But who are you, a mere human, to talk back to God?

- It is God's right to decide what is right for each person.

- And what if He did this to make known the riches of His glory on objects of mercy that He prepared beforehand for glory - on us, the ones He also called.

- Both from Jews and Gentiles.

- Gentiles have obtained righteousness through faith.

- Israel (Jews), following the Law, have stumbled.

- "Look, I am putting a stone in Zion to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and the one who believes on Him will not be put to shame."

I don't really know how "He has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy and He hardens whom He wants to harden" works. Somehow God's will is working itself out. Faith in Jesus is the key to receiving God's mercy and the riches of His glory.

@heartathome I love the line - “Don’t be afraid to reach out. You’re not being ignored. Keep coming—I’m here.” That resonates particularly with me at the moment.

I am a little overwhelmed (in a good way) reading your post for God revealed to me my never ending desire to be loved and wanted by my earthly father who rejected me over and over again, and now I feel God saying "I have taken him out of the picture (including his family) so you now can see that I am your Father and I have loved you from before you were born. When he and his family have rejected you, I have held you and counted your tears. I gave you My Son and My pure love without conditions. You are Mine, a precious, rare diamond."

Ironically my dad used to call me more precious than a red diamond and I think there was probably some jealousy about that with my sister who is know controlling everything related to dad and his family.
I have tears of clarity now.

@ENKELI So very glad to hear you tell me this experience living our Heavenly Father's love in truth of self in and with Him, such are awesome times that bring SO much healing. So true that all has to go before we can attain Him, even our most beloved i'm finding out, but not to take but to secure ourselves in His truth our loves.

We are going out tomorrow. She wants to go for a hike, and i do too but my asthma as well as general condition is shocking because of lack of sleep for so long. Last night i did not even make 4 hours with all max meds, so that is not encouraging.

So hopefully i can endure for longer than 30 minutes otherwise our walk together be over in no time.

Romans 10

- Paul wants the Jews to be saved.

- But they are trying to do things with their own righteousness.

- Christ makes the Law no longer necessary.

- If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

- Jews and Greeks (all people) are the same in this - the same Lord of all richly blesses all who call on Him.

- How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. (to call on the Lord one must believe, to believe one must have heard, to hear someone must have spoken, to speak one must be sent)

- God also longs for and reaches out to the Jews.

It's about faith in Jesus. We also can stumble by making it about works.
