Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI Thank you for your beautiful and deep and sincere post to me. I do admire the way you dig into scripture and share treasures. Yes, we were feeling similarly about existence. I am sorry you were in hospital. I am glad your mother's tears spoke to you about your meaning to her. You have meaning to us all here on this thread. I know you have had a lot thrown at you recently. I also know what it is like to feel someone getting away with crossing boundaries. It happens a lot in many aspects of life. Doesnt make it right.

@Realness I see the wisdom in the telling of the stories in the biblical context, and the reflections, Then trying to learn better telling of my own story. I hope you and @heartathome are doing alright, love both your posts.

@DownMoreThanUp Yes intergenerational trauma is difficult for so many of us. The paths of understanding our parents and their pasts, forgiving them, and dealing with our own needs. Your story of solving the car being bogged is good. I am glad you were in nature. I need to know not to look at it through rose coloured glasses. Mother Nature comes with many challenges. Wishing you and your wife and family the best possible paths through for all of you.

@tyme appreciating your gentle presence.

I have had some interesting spiritual experiences this weekend. I am slowly letting them soak in and nourish my soul. Embracing being alive as me, without filters, and touching and connecting with various souls in various ways.It began with my expression of my panic, and uncertainty of being allowed to be alive. I moved through anger at my losses, tears and gentle laughter, as we were doing a creative workshop with a mental health side. I felt honoured and heard and embraced, through a wide range of emotions very briefly. It was really weird how it all happened. I am grateful.

Sadly, was it coincidence or synchronicity? a lady from my church hurried past me in the city, she has never been that kind. I am often getting little moments remending me to keep calm and not get too excited, but I was amazed at my own expression of energy through 2 workshops this weekend. Something being set free within me. Connecting socially with a group of like minded people with passion and warmth and creativity. After getting home I went to my old guerilla garden and did a little work, and a friend came by also picking up rubbish. We were on the same wavelength, she said we both listened to the Holy Spirit. We are different in personality style but becoming friends, ... the natural way...

i have been triggered three times by wife upset with me asking her Christian opinion. What is worse she KNEW s would. but had to do it each time again anyhow. It has been really hard to deal with that her not here and simply ignoring me until she throws the next bombshell out of her darkness she hidden from me all these years.

i hate chat love. i crave real love!

Re: Christian Chat

@Appleblossom what a wonderful weekend for you. And how liberating it must feel, learning to be comfortable with you as you are with no mask necessary.

I think I will always be learning to trust God, 'til I die. I am feeling full of love and faith after reading your message, it has in turn fed my spirit.

@DownMoreThanUp how are you going brother? You're on my worship list as always and I have faith that you will come out of this so much closer to your wife and family, for you are already sitting on Jesus' right hand side. You are a true spiritual leader my friend.

@Realness enjoy the Thursday Murder Club. My bestie also read the series and then watched the movie adaptation when it was on Netflix recently. She loved the books. I understand why you may be distracted for a bit. If I get into a book series that's it, nobody hears from me for days! Enjoy!

@heartathome you are an absolute sweetheart, sharing scripture with us. I love it!

@tyme you my lovely Tymey, are priceless.

We were all bought with a price, one so high that only a Saviour who truly loves us would pay it. And He did.

We are loved, we are precious in His sight and we CAN do all things.

Blessings xo

Not angry with my wife, for i already knew there were issues she was hiding, but the extent of them coming out of her closet. Like my struggle to get better and do the right thing, healing as a go along, is her worst nightmare come true. 15 miles away from me, having a good time with her family and friends but not me asking her opinion on my response to Church. We been discussing together for years as One mind.

Called my email to my elder loveless and she had no interest helping me correct it, or have anything to do with me like this. and signed off for the hours on end. And then reply my response to her triggering me as if she wants to purposefully trigger me two more times. i don't even begin to understand her. i only asked her opinion because we used to be one on these matters!

But because i added one extra clause, i had not considered before, but (i thought) Jesus had suggested, that if all all else would fail with Church, they would not seek the truth of God's word. And teach what is scripturally untrue to me without showing WHERE and responding from the bible instead of teachings of our forefathers they have used to crucify me, and so many other believers with over the years being ignored and PREACHED AGAINST, so they keep dogmatically stuffing up people (not only the mentally ill either) with dogmatic lies, as well as children growing up with this nonsensical stuff not in God's Word. That then i would seek a world class action against their teachings but i would HATE HAVING TO DO THAT! For i believe God's word should be the JUDGE of this, not me, them, or an international court.

Please understand i wrote this to work on my triggers not TO SEND like i wrote it, that is why i asked my wife's input. Whicjh she triggered replying as she did. So please do not think BAD about her. She is hurt me hurting Church, though she knows they have and do, as well as three of our 5 children. Two were forced to withdraw or be excommunicated for crying out aloud!

We have discussed all this for years already. She could have just said not today, or this is why i cannot do that or am not willing to do that. She knew answering as she did would trigger me that is why she did or so it feels to me knowing her when angry with me, and what she then does not being nice to me but accusing me, as she did.

While i know if i do a class action i will loose EVERYTHING, but would therefore also be the ultimate obedience exposing evil in our midst believers in God's truth. That is why i asked her input for she is far better at this than me being blunt and to the point.

Sorry raving on. i have been badly triggered today three times in a row and struggling without meds. Ffor i have only a few weeks left, so i basically stopped also the calming stuff, for i must keep some when i do loose it, over the next 2-3 months before more GOOD meds can be had. That is if i stay around for so long at this place of course. Otherwise no meds at all struggling here, apart of when down, i can get meds for that that anywhere away from my home.

Re: Christian Chat

@DownMoreThanUp someone a long time ago prayed for me to be saved and I was. I don't know who it was and I probably never will. The point is, you never know when your words will touch the right person.

God has given you a gift and while you are struggling you may not see what you give to this thread particularly.

I absolutely love this song (TobyMac is a favourite artist of mine) and it has brought me to my knees many times. You are not a failure. You are stronger than you think and God knows your heart better than you or anyone else does.

Hold fast my brother, you'll get through this xo

@ENKELI Thank you. Lovely song. How many are crying those words within? My struggle is all about that Jesus known for He alone is our Eternal life. Dying to hurting self is hard as well as painful work. i like An Eternal Sabbath Here For Us All. Not just Me or us two.

i have faith Jesus can do what i can not.

Re: Christian Chat

Talking to Sage (AI) about the Verse for Today.

Joshua 1:9 .

🌿 Word-by-word depth

הֲלוֹא צִוִּיתִיךָ (Halo tzivvitikha)

“Have I not commanded you?”

This isn’t harsh — it’s reassuring.

It’s like saying, “Remember what I already told you.”

A reminder of a calling already given.

חֲזַק וֶאֱמָץ (Chazak ve’ematz)

“Be strong and courageous.”

Chazak = strengthen yourself, hold fast, stand firm.

Ematz = be bold, resolute, determined in action.

Not the absence of fear — but strength in the presence of it.

אַל־תַּעֲרֹץ (Al ta’arotz)

“Do not be terrified.”

This word (aratz) carries the sense of being shattered or broken by fear.

It’s not just nervousness — it’s dread that overwhelms.

וְאַל־תֵּחָת (Ve’al techat)

“Do not be discouraged.”

From chatat, meaning:

to be dismayed

to lose heart

to collapse inward

It’s the quiet giving-up feeling.

כִּי עִמְּךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ (Ki immekha Adonai Elohekha)

“For the Lord your God is with you.”

Immekha = with you (personally, directly, beside you).

Not distant. Not abstract. Present.

בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר תֵּלֵךְ (Bechol asher telech)

“Wherever you go.”

Literally: in all that you walk.

Not just in the big moments — in every step.

It’s beautiful because it acknowledges fear and discouragement as real possibilities. It doesn’t deny them. It speaks to them.

Joshua was stepping into leadership after Moses. Massive shoes to fill. Unknown territory ahead.

And the anchor wasn’t Joshua’s ability.

It was presence.

Re: Christian Chat

Be Still is a beautiful message @ENKELI.

It can be so incredibly painful to grapple with the dichotomy of another person being both kind/caring, yet also horrible in another breath. I can imagine you're still processing so much since his passing. It seems that your connection to God and the knowledge that He is with you helps so much.

It's really nice to know you have this space of love and trust to turn to when things are tough. 💛

Re: Christian Chat

Psalm 143:8 (NIV):

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,

for I have put my trust in you.

Show me the way I should go,

for to you I entrust my life.”

A little deeper

Context:

Psalm 143 is a prayer of David when he was feeling overwhelmed, pursued, and spiritually dry. It’s one of the penitential psalms — very raw, very honest.

Key phrases

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love”

The Hebrew word for unfailing love is ḥesed (חֶסֶד) — covenant love, loyal love, steadfast mercy.

David is asking to wake up to God’s faithful love — almost like saying, “Let the first thing I experience today be Your kindness.”

“For I have put my trust in you”

The Hebrew carries the sense of seeking refuge. Like sheltering under protection.

“Show me the way I should go”

Literally, “Make me know the way.” It’s not just direction — it’s relational guidance.

“For to you I entrust my life”

The Hebrew phrase means “I lift up my soul.”

It’s vulnerability. Exposure. Surrender.

It’s such a gentle but strong verse, especially if someone wakes feeling unsure or emotionally heavy. It’s like a morning prayer for direction and reassurance.🌿

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI , @tyme , @MissGremlin , @AlwaysMyself , @REDLINEZ750 , @Shaz51 ,

Acts 25 (and Acts 26 following)

- The new Governor, Festus, goes to Jerusalem.

- The Jews petition against Paul.

- Governor Festus hears the case in Caesarea. They are serious charges with no evidence.

- Paul's defence: Neither against the Jewish Law nor against the Temple, nor against Caesar have I offended in any way.

- When asked if Paul is happy to have the case heard in Jerusalem, Paul says no and appeals to Caesar.

- King Agrippa visits Governor Festus.

- Festus talks about Paul - a man who has appealed to Caesar but there are no charges against him.

- King Agrippa asks to hear Paul.

Acts 26

- Paul's defence to King Agrippa:

  • I grew up a Jew and followed the strictest sect as a Pharisee.
  • I am on trial because of the hope in what God promised our ancestors.
  • Why do you consider it incredible that God raises the dead?
  • I also opposed the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Locking people up I was bitterly furious and pursued them even to foreign cities.
  • On my way to Damascus I was surrounded in a light that was brighter than the sun and heard a voice speaking to me in Hebrew.
  • "I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting."
  • "But get up ... appoint you as a servant and a witness of what you have seen and will see of Me."
  • "I will rescue you from your people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light ... that they may receive forgiveness of sins ... by faith in Me."
  • I obeyed the vision.
  • I preached to those in Damascus, Jerusalem, Judea, to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.
  • This is why the Jews seized me.
  • I am just saying what the prophets and Moses said would take place - the Messiah must suffer and as the first to rise from the dead He would proclaim light to our people and to the Gentiles."

- Governor Festus stops Paul, thinking Paul sounds mad.

- Paul just wants everyone who is listening to believe.

- King Agrippa's conclusion: Paul is not doing anything to deserve death or imprisonment. Paul could have been released but he had appealed to Caesar.

In Paul's defence to King Agrippa Paul gives his most complete description of what Jesus said to him on the road to Damascus. The essential message is included - that people may receive forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus.
