Hard morning, was really struggling with being suddenly on my own suffering a mental illness. i always counted myself so blessed not to have ot be one like that, for i know many of us are.

However a good counceling session yesterday, plus a wonderful dream of revelation last night, and a restful hour sleep this afternoon, brought me a sense of well-being being by myself. More and more the realization set in Jesus is growing me free from the way things used to be which are both good for my wife and me.

Anyone ever hear of Gabor Mate? Been listening to his videos on how to help heal from trauma. Its been very interesting so far.

Feeling much calmer tonight than i have for weeks. Thanks praying for those who did.👋

@Appleblossom ooh it's so much fun! I'm learning about KPI's (insert sarcasm here). I get frustrated because most of the learning is stuff I already know (KPI's particularly!) and I tend to talk back to my laptop "yes I KNOW that, now can we move on? No? Oh thaaaat's right, you have to explain to me why we have KPIs and how they work, silly me!"

I just have to keep telling myself that it is geared around school leavers, not 50+ women with 30 years work experience 😁

@DownMoreThanUp I have heard of Gabor Mate and I would just ask that you listen to his works prayerfully as his perspective is far from Christian.

@ENKELI Thanks for the warning my dear very valid seeing he is evolutionist, humanist and doctor, all worldly streams of thought. However Christian as a major religion is a very unsafe in my experience as well. Indeed Christianity as a religion has been more dangerous than science, humanists, or evolutionist combined in my life.

i like Garbor's developmental aspect - e.g unresolved trauma builds us bad life, while resolved, or delivered from, trauma builds us good life.

i find that his thinking is far more tangible material than a lot of other stuff on trauma, C.P.T.S.D or mental illness, what that concerns.

Been through the mill friends but i begin to dare to hope at times for once my roller coaster rides are going to work out for our good in the end.

Good news friends my wife and daughter are coming for a visit tomorrow morning. And she would love it if i made her a pan of her favourite soup.

Both of us have been moving away from where we were stuck.

Praying this can keep on going forward and i will not stuff it up again.

Been busy cleaning👨‍🏭 and praying that Jesus will bless both our endeavours to get back together again down the road with bad life well behind.

Otherwise i have calmed down a lot and have slowed down a little on the anti-psychotics for they been depressing far too much. Did sleep more than 5 hours in one setting so that is very promising.

Hopefully someone from Church will come around this afternoon. The car we bought i used Sunday but badly triggered coming out of Church i did not cut the power off properly and drained the battery. i have no chance doing anything without jumper leads and another car. So i asked him to take some power leads.

Acts 23

- Paul addresses the Commander and Sanhedrin.

- "Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience to this day."

- High Priest has someone slap Paul's face.

- Paul retorts.

- Paul purposely divides the Jewish crowd by talking about being a Pharisee and resurrection - Pharisees defend him while Sadducees attack.

- Crowd gets violent.

- Paul taken back to the barracks.

- A vision of the Lord: "Have courage! For as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so it is necessary for you to testify in Rome."

- Jews continue to attack Paul - they plan an ambush.

- The Commander is told about the ambush and he sends Paul that night to Caesarea.

- Governor Felix waits for accusers to come.

The Jews are again wild with anger. It is possible to be very religious and totally miss God.

@DownMoreThanUp yes, Christianity has been the cause for so much unrest in the world. I can hear Jesus saying as he shakes His head "this is NOT what I meant."
Through my struggles and self-hatred, judgement of others and God, asking why my life sucks when others who are not faithful to God get a free ride I always end up with comfort knowing that Jesus is my Saviour. It's pretty much all I can cling to these days.

My life is not what I wanted, I have missed out on so much, or so I feel. I'm ready to go home any time now.

If Gabor is helping you that's good. I hope you find what you need and that things start to improve for you sooner rather than later my brother.
