I was playing the piano yesterday for a few hours. Again it had been so long that the keys were dusty! I spent most of the time play Easy to Play Abba - great arrangements which are not too difficult for me in which I can capture the beat as I play. Then a few classical tunes like Fur Elise, Daquin's Le Coucou, Bach's Prelude No. 1 and a few others. As you can see I can manage the simpler compositions. After playing for two or three hours my spirit is resting in a delightful way - even a day later. I should play more often.

Lovely @Realness that you play popular and classical repertoire. Haha. Yes pianos collect dust. Cleaning keys is needed every now and then. lol. When Covid came I had to wipe down and disinfect the keys between students. Lucky it was on the piano with plastic keys. I have one with ivory keys that I was naughty and let get grimy but recently did a very thorough wipe down, but with gentler detergent. Ach... the things we do...lol

I have my hymns for this Sunday organ, so will run through them soon. Thanks for remining me.

Hello @Realness I think @Appleblossom called you an anchor on this thread and I just want to agree 💯with that!

My sister sees a gynaecologist/ oncologist tomorrow. She's not sure what's going to happen there. Naturally, she didn't take anything in (brain wise) when she was diagnosed, and when the doctor told her everything.

My sister believes in God, but I don't think much more than that.

The stuff I wrote on my thread was a big breakthrough for my inner life, with your support! At least I know what's going on now.

Acts 17

- Paul and Silas go to Thessalonica.

- They meet in the Jewish synagogue for three Sabbaths.

- Tells them that the Messiah had to suffer and rise again - Jesus is the Messiah!

- Some believed but the Jews became jealous - brought a mob together against Paul and Silas.

- Couldn't find them Paul and Silas so arrest Jason who had let them stay at his home.

- Night time - Paul and Silas slip away. Go to Berea.

- Synagogue at Berea. People listen and search the scriptures to see if true. Many believe.

- Jews from Thessalonica come agitating the crowds.

- The brothers and sisters immediately sent Paul away by sea.

- Silas and Timothy remain in Berea.

- Paul in Athens. A city of idols.

- Paul reasoned with Jews in the synagogue as well as those in the marketplace.

- Some philosophers want to hear more of what Paul has to say.

- Areopagus. Paul talks to the people. Starting with an idol with an inscription "to an unknown god" Paul talks about the God who created the heavens and the earth and everyone alive on it. Shouldn't reduce the divine nature to idols.

- Some people join Paul and believe.

Paul keeps talking about Jesus to everyone he comes in contact with.

My gentle paced life is going okay. Yesterday I sat with Mum and watched another sitcom. I know you like the American ones but we mostly watch English sitcoms. Today I will continue on with the study.

I was praying last night. And my priorities were you, @DownMoreThanUp , @ENKELI , @Appleblossom , etc. This Forum is successful in connecting people!
