Re: Christian Chat

Hi @heartathome ,

Me too. I'm glad the world wasn't relying on me! I'm hopeless at staying awake when I'm tired.

Yeah, Judas returned the money, tried to reverse things, but then ends things. Jesus had said, "Woe unto that man who betrays me." I've never really tried to imagine what it would have like to be Judas in that situation. What to do when you have an unfixable situation? But who knows where Jesus' grace extends?

@DownMoreThanUp

i guess @heartathome was referring to the idea that parody implies a comic aspect.

Does Apologetix buy some IP contract to be able to change the originals?

@Realness

i do believe psychosis can involve a transcendent experience, but not always. So much goes on beyond the rational part of us.

We were waylaid by a Christian lady today. She was passionate about her experience but I dont think she convinced my friend, who i later found was the daughter of 2 missionaries. We all have a story to tell.

Just saying God Bless

i chose my name partly to do with the Garden of Eden story. I didnt believe the apple should be left with only burden of temptation and the devil... remember an apple a day keeps the doctor away

guess i am a silly optimist. Get bitten on the bum too, but still doesnt change that aspect of me

Re: Christian Chat

I find it hard to sit still @Realness I have about a five-minute attention span! :face_with_rolling_eyes: For me staying at home has been really hard. I felt a lot of loneliness! It's a lot easier now that I've found SANE.

Preparing for the concert took me less than five minutes. 😄 A bit of blush and eyeliner. That's it. Clothes took me one minute to put on. Grab my bag, I'm ready!

I find your view on psychosis really interesting. For my son, the voices are critical, nasty and abusive, telling him he's no good for nothing now. He loved the spiritual aspect of it in the beginning! Do you think they are demons? I'm not saying he has a demon inside him but rather oppressing him. What about drug induced psychosis?

I'm glad that the psychosis was a pleasant experience for you, that God was there comforting you!

I've been sitting on this for two days so I'm going to post it now!

Sending much love and warm vibes 💛

@Appleblossom Yes overall they do get permissions. But i heard that for a song called Jude (A parody on the song 'Hey Jude' from the Beatles,) He was taken to court for he had illegally 'borrowed', albeit an awesome, video clip, where very much like in the Hebrew song i posted before, they drew the song comic style as the song progressed. This song they had to withdraw from Youtube which was a pity for it was really well done.

i have been well the last week. Sleep is still improving, almost at 6 hours in my first sleep now and i often snooze in the afternoon for a hour or so as well. So that is going good.

No more nasties apart of some heavy depressive and also still some nausea spells as well as reflux. i have a hospital assessment half next month to have a camera check out my stomach on the inside. Hopefully something can be done. For the nausea can be severe at times.

i hope you all have a blessed Sunday.

Apologetix in full swing.

Verse of the Day

I ask only one thing from the Lord. This is what I want: Let me live in the Lord’s house all my life. Let me see the Lord’s beauty. Let me look around in his Temple.

@heartathome We are not sure what we will do yet. Our Daughter is still asleep it will depend on what she wants to do. If she wants to go to Church than my wife will take her, i think i might just skip it for a little longer before exposing myself to this kind of massive input.

@Appleblossom @Realness @AlwaysMyself @ENKELI

Maybe we will do another hick. For yesterday we took our 10 year old grand daughter out for lunch for her up coming birthday. And went for a stroll next to the river in Denmark, that was really lovely. We all really enjoyed it but it wrecked me afterwards.

Re: Christian Chat

Looks a really wonderful place to hike with your grand-daughter. Beat you were all exhausted though. @DownMoreThanUp

I respect IP, when its a complete reference and copy, but sad about the Land Down Under outcome for Greg Ham and Colin Hay's father. I didnt see it as enough of a borrowing, just a simple rhythm. Saw it as lawyer BS. Generally I prefer acoustic music.

The missionary lady yesterday was into Planetshakers... not my scene... too much loud music over stimulating... and not bringing me closer to God.

We are all different... as we walk in God's garden of Creation

@heartathome Beautiful psalm

@Realness @AlwaysMyself @ENKELI

Just watched a silly comedy... like missionary Marxism... Mrs Radcliffe's Revolution... I studied a lot of Marxism once

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI ,

Luke 23

- Jesus brought before Pilate.

- Pilate, "Are you the king of the Jews?"

- Jesus, "You say so." (Amplified Bible: "It is as you say it is.")

- Pilate tries to free Jesus. The crowd protest, "He stirs up the people!" When Pilate finds out Jesus is from Galilee he passes Jesus to Herod's jurisdiction.

- Herod finally gets to see Jesus. Jesus doesn't talk to Herod. Herod then humiliates Jesus.

- Back to Pilate. Pilate tries to free Jesus but the crowd insist Jesus be crucified.

- Barabbas, a violent man, is released instead.

- Simon, a Cyrenian, carries Jesus' cross.

- A large crowd follow including women who were mourning and lamenting Him.

- Jesus, "Do not weep for Me, weep for yourselves ..."

- Two criminals also crucified with Jesus.

- Jesus, "Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing."

- The leaders scoff at Jesus. The soldiers mock Jesus. And one of the criminals hanging there with Him yell insults at Him.

- But the other criminal rebukes the first criminal. " ... this man has done nothing wrong ... Jesus, remember me when you come into Your Kingdom."

- Jesus' reply, " Truly, I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."

- Darkness from noon to three o'clock in the afternoon.

- Curtain of the sanctuary splits down the middle.

- Jesus, "Father, into Your hands I entrust my Spirit." And Jesus breathes his last breath.

- Centurion - This was a righteous man.

- Joseph, a member of the Sanhedrin, buries Jesus.

- The women who had come from Galilee with Jesus see the tomb.

- These women rest on the Sabbath.

I think Jesus' "Truly, I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise," comment to the criminal on the cross has to be one of the most encouraging verses in the Bible. Repentance can be at the very end of life.

Re: Christian Chat

Hi@heartathome ,

You ask excellent questions!

Do you think they are demons? ... not ... a demon inside ... but rather oppressing

As I read the Bible I try to fit today's terms such as psychosis into Jesus' and the Bible's terms. satan is the king of lies. Psychosis is full of lies. So I think, yes, the two match up. Leaving reality behind is not a good way to live life even when the new reality is very comforting.

What about drug induced psychosis?

The other way I describe it is from what I've learnt in Psychology. I believe the Amygdala in the brain is where emotion is controlled. In stress related psychosis like I experienced I believe I got so stressed that the Amygdala reacted (edited by mod) leading to other changes in the brain. The boundaries between the different parts of the brain also come down. Neural pathways are being laid down all the time including times of psychosis. I think drugs impact the parts of the brain that produce psychosis.

But I believe God created the brain with these mechanisms. Emergencies happen in life and the brain has to have a way of getting people through.
