Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

@Appleblossom ,

I could not imagine studying Proust. I read all six volumes over a period of seven years. I marvelled at all the genius observations of human interactions. I remember sometimes six genius observations per page. The volume on lust. I remember finishing that volume where the distinguished man had fallen in love with a prostitute. At the end he wakes up - determined to turn his life. I remember my shock when at the beginning of the next volume he has married her! A volume on ownership in relationships. But he was stuck in his mind and I wanted him to wake up. Imagine the potential description of him finding Jesus! I knew as I kept reading he was not going to wake up (it would have been quoted everywhere in self-help books!) but kept reading as ageing was covered in the last volume.

It's been twenty years since I read it. I was never that good at English and have not studied literature but that's what I remember.

Excuse my rant - it's not often I meet a person who has read Proust.

I read A Course In Miracles (ACIM) as part of a explore different scriptures exercise in my early thirties. I read The Koran, Bhagadat Gita, new age, Buddhist, etc along with my daily Bible reading. ACIM was so dense and ridiculous I wrote out every word. At the end I thought it was open to interpretation. I bought a new copy recently. There is now a end section which mentions Jesus suggesting the way I interpreted is the way it was intended to be interpreted. One of my favourite parts is people like paintings in a art gallery. Each of us is meant to be a beautiful unique vibrant painting but instead there are many blank canvases. As opposed to people having crosses all over themselves.

How the heck do you know Karise Eden @REDLINEZ750 . I've seen her twice and think she has one of the most amazing voices! She reminds me of a mixture of Janis Joplin and Amy Winehouse.

Can I stand with you regarding theology? All I need to know is that I'm saved and loved! Can I just love people? 💛

Re: Christian Chat

Well I definitely appreciate your thoughtful approach to reading. @Realness

I only read first volume of that Proust, but did read other French, German, Dutch and English lit. You did well, to care, about well conceptualised writing. I was often corrented in my speech by randoms. mother tongue not English but I buried my head in books, cos twas one of the safest places to be. Not a snob. Now I joke, that after dad died, the Australian I learned was not to be repeated, so, kept me mouth shut, a fair bit.

Yes, with a lot of bible and theology. We have to do our own honest interpretation.

I did a piece looking at different bible translations, it taught me to be careful about being gung ho, about any one approach. Is that being weak or lacking conviction? I try and accept all in Creation, but feeling very weary.

I am similar ..." I read The Koran, Bhagadat Gita, new age, Buddhist, etc along with my daily Bible reading. " Went to Tara House ... Hare Krishnas .. etc etc..

Hugs @heartathome

Aww Thanks for those kind words @Realness I guess I feel safer on here because no one knows me. 😉

Jesus walks this Forum through you. I think the same about you. I wish I could feel that He's telling me that I'm going to be okay spiritually because I never feel good enough. I just have to trust Jesus!

Don't get me wrong. I'm okay! I'm just sharing my thoughts. 💛

Re: Christian Chat

I was prophesied over nearly 35 years ago. It was not good. I was not good. I have carried it with me the whole time.

My new 'prophesy' given to me by my Bible study teacher and psychologist this afternoon. 💛

  • I am a child of God
  • I am forgiven
  • I am a work in progress

@Realness @DownMoreThanUp @Appleblossom @REDLINEZ750

Thinking of you. Sending love and hugs! @ENKELI

Re: Christian Chat

@heartathome Oh my dear sister you too? So awful when that happens. i suffered the same fate and the truth of Jesus brought me the same conclusion.

It is not about exclusion, apart of the which is hurting us, but not us hurt. This is the problem with the lies ruling Christianity where it becomes our faith, our faithfulness and our dedication that saves us. Not Jesus 2000 years ago.

Like you i have been taught to hold onto the truth and that the love of God grace growing in my desolate places will bring the growth i'm longing for. Starting with thankfulness, love for Jesus, inner Peace and Joy.

The battle is to hold onto the Son, not must do, must not do, or any self rule over ourselves, through laws, rules or demands, which do not bring more of Jesus but exclude us from fellowship with Jesus.

i have never looked back and let all lies told about me fall away the baptism of His loving grace over my life. So glad to hear you are doing the same and encouraging you onwards and try not looking back, only forward to Jesus coming Alive inside of you loving God, yourself, and others as you yourself are loved by God. Jesus will NEVER demand no more than for us to have faith in His love for us. That is not difficult to do when you are with your back against the wall as we so often are struggling depression, anxiety, and emotional, if not physical, evils done to us down here.

@Appleblossom @Realness @REDLINEZ750 @Cuppatea

Jesus is AWESOME dying also for us 'rejects' down here!

Re: Christian Chat

Thank you @DownMoreThanUp I do feel much better since talking with the Christian psychologist! He had a video about the cult I was in although I didn't want to see it. It's been good to share with him about things I've never mentioned to anyway because of shame! 💛

Re: Christian Chat

@heartathome So very thankful to Jesus getting you out, away, and now again spiritually free, from such cults. It is horrible when we believe lies that keep on hurting us, because other people felt the need to impress their 'spiritual' delusions upon us, instead of the grace of God because of faith in Christ.

That crappy devil is so very cruel setting us up against one another like that.

Thanking Jesus from the bottom of my heart dying for all of our sins. (1 John 2:1-2)

Thanks @DownMoreThanUp

My eyes leaked listening to that song! 🥹 He promised me that I will make it through. (words of the song)

I thought it was 20 years ago but it's actually nearly 35 years that I've been carrying it. Way too long! I'm so grateful that I took myself to someone who knew something about cults.

Thank you for your continual support! I hope your day is good! 💛
