Hearing you, that the world does not always seem fair, and that many people get away with bad behaviours. I actually dont find fundamental Christianity very helpful in addressing these issues. There are many moral dilemnas. Many of us do our best to forgive and forget and be grateful etc etc etc. But when is the time to stand up?

I am getting pretty sick of seeing my family suffer. I have seen quite enough and the coming year is likely to be TUFF, because of middle class overprivileged BS. Somehow, God doesnt seem to get my texts and emails. Or, maybe I am meant to fight "the good fight" instead of laying down and rolling over Beethoven. Rather than cuetsy letting it go .. and letting god. Not sure what I will do. Not used to fighting.I will pray about it. I get that you have had a heap more support than I have ever had at any time in my life.

@Appleblossom i so know what you mean getting sick from the bad life going around. Jesus has me fix it by handing it all to Him to take care of, in His time, and not mine. So what ever downers or hurts i may suffer i give Him to take care of.

Though i admit at times i'm dragging my heels. Wanting to hold onto the anger and rage i can feel towards those responsible doing that.

However it is getting easier and easier and suffering has lessened enormously, and best of all i got to know how Jesus deals with bad life in those He loves. It sure gives Isaiah 53 even far more meaning than ever stepping into The word like that.

i posted on another forum and got 4 more likes there and one die hard who insisted Lauren's sins were worse than his, demanding i do not post her songs.

Had to opened a little bit of scripture for him before he let it be. Such people are to be pitied thinking themselves better than other sinners.

Amazing how God's grace is taught a free gift and yet sinners want us to pay for it. Where people want themselves and their friends to be saved, but not those they do not approve of. Will they be disappointed when they arrive in Heaven and all those they disliked, dished and hated are celebrating the Lamb like they never did!😍😍😍

Being found out to be naked, while being judged by own judgement, making a fool of ourselves before angels, Scripture simply says about that. Yet i know from expierence you do not want to fall in the Hands of The Living God without grace in your heart. For our God sure is a consuming fire, no judgement will remain in Heaven. And we who believe in His grace are already celebrating Him in the Heavenly Realms.

This is what God's grace wants to achieve! HEAL US FROM ALL THAT AFFLICTS US! Hallelujah!

I have to gently step back a little from this conversation. We have very different experiences and education and understanding about Christianity. With all the lies and satan talk, again and again and again. I dont think you are aware of the negativity all that projects. I feel I need to be careful around you. It doesnt get better by talking about Jesus in a simplistic manner. It feels dismissive, when you do know my decades of background in music ministry. I am a sensitive soul and feel I need to protect myself from bad influences, even among "the faithful". I was exposed to too much life long trauma from a very young age. I do also try to keep it light and inclusive. I am slow to anger or to criticise. I try to keep the peace, and dont want to disrupt the other members in the chat.

I know you are finally trying to engage with me, rather than just add me to a tag list, but this is what is coming up. I cant stand mindless bible bashing without integrating the personal...it upsets many people and makes me feel worthless, after which I have to work up some self esteem again.

Some of the trauma in my family has come from what I see as mistaken and warped notions of the Christian religion, and my siblings ended up following Jesus in a bad way, to very long and messy deaths, that influenced my children. That is how it can be with a CALD religiously dogmatic mother, with serious psych issues and no schooling and immense war trauma of her own.

Then there is the institutional stuff.... when siblings and I were in so called "care". I am an abused charity child. Finally speaking my truths. I am a human being with feelings, and have been forced to put them aside for far too long.

I do look at people's trauma loads and try to take their burdens into account, now, and all my life. People do seem to find it hard to address mine with meaning and care, although slowly, in some situations it is beginning to happen. Maybe, though it feels too little, too late ... I live in hope for the promised land for my offspring.

On another thread @heartathome posted about Greek words for LOVE. SO glad she did that. I have often mentioned agape in writing and speaking. I also often prefer Buddhist loving kindness meditation metta. Christians often do big booboos. It has been really difficult NOT to join my family, up in the sky.

Today I was reading Luke 6. Jesus' teaching is challenging in this chapter.

- The Sabbath is highlighted in the first sections. Jesus offending the Pharisees on the Sabbath. Jesus shows honouring the Sabbath is not about following rules. It's about resting in God. Showing God's compassion to others, satisfying hunger is okay even if it involves "work".

- Jesus' night in prayer before appointing the apostles.

- 12 apostles appointed.

- Jesus healing a large crowd.

- Jesus teaching!:

* Blessed are the hungry, those who weep, those who are reviled because of Jesus.

* Woe to those who are rich, those who are filled, those who laugh, those who all men speak well of.

* Love your enemies.

* Do good to those who hate you.

* Bless those who curse you.

* Pray for those who spitefully use you.

* Turn the other cheek.

* Give to every one who asks you.

* Judge not.

* Condemn not.

* Forgive!

* And great shall be your reward. You shall be called children of the Highest!

- Why do you see the twig in another's eye when you have a log in your own eye!?!

- Good trees versus bad trees - from the abundance of our hearts we speak.

- Obey Jesus and you build your house on the rock. Nothing can shake Jesus' foundation.

Again the upside-down-ness of Jesus! Jesus' wisdom is very different from the world's wisdom. It is different from what makes sense to human flesh. And yet He is right. When I don't obey it, I hurt myself more than anyone else.
