@heartathome I'm happy to hear your friend contacted you, that must be such a relief for you.

I try to answer as soon as possible but as you know sometimes it is hard to engage so just know that I will not be ignoring you.

Where I to choose to leave Sane I like to think I would let everyone know. Truth is I get so much out of Sane (shout out to all of the peer support workers, guides and mods) and I find it helpful in learning different things about my own mental health journey.

I hope you are feeling better today, you are on my daily prayer list - prayer is going from 20 minutes to 40 minutes, what's not to love about that!!

@ENKELI Yes she was still in pain this morning and requested pain killers but she slept all night and was otherwise happy to face the new day.

And to answer your question, yes we do have more children, apart of our down syndrome daughter, 4 as a matter of fact, two girls and two boys. They all married, although one marriage did not work out, and ended in a divorce, and he is now dating someone else. Altogether we have 18 grand children (and it looks like we sill still get an extra (step) grand son through our son's girl friend.)

Our oldest girl lives just 5 km down the road and has four children. Our oldest son lives next to us, but is usually at his girl friends nowadays, and has 3 children from his previous relationship and an extra son through his new girl friend. Our other daughter is roaming up north with her husband and 6, of her 7 children, whom she home schools while holidaying. Her oldest boy lives and works here doing an apprenticeship. And our youngest boy moved to Canada 14 already years ago, and married over there. He has also 4 children, one whom we have not met in real life yet.

Some of our grand kids living nearby are coming this afternoon for a visit, and one on Saturday. That is always a highlight.

Thanks @ENKELI Knowing someone truly cares is 'heartbreaking' in a good way! I'm really touched by people who would reach out to me. Like you I would like to think I'd let people know if I was leaving but the truth is I don't like saying goodbye. It would be really difficult! I also get a lot from the forum. It's like exposure therapy for me. 😉

I am pretty tentative at the moment. Hour by hour. @heartathome Doing what I can, chugging along, but very vulnerable . Always too much on my plate, of the challenges. Grateful to eat wholesome food though. I often feel overlooked and many people don’t respond when I share my vulnerability. I am usually in the too hard basket.. kind of basket case.

i had a rather bad day. Feeling unwell and depressed. Our oldest son and daughter, with the grand kids came around, that was nice. Always good to see them. My wife bought me a bottle of whiskey, and a few glasses of that did pick me up a bit.

Going to prepare dinner now. Fish and cauliflower on the menu.
