Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI it was probably best to not “socialise” at church. There were a few good vibes and I stayed out of the way of 2 bullies. It is a struggling church.

We played Bach, Scarlatti, Sweelink, Pergolesi and 2 modern composers. Sight reading. We go from 1.30 to 5 with a short break. I began playing with them in March. It is really a good fit musically. I put out some vulnerability and humour and skill. I am privileged to have been asked to play with them.

On the way was Soul Search on the radio. It was very aligned to my interests, Eg forest bathing and medieval mystics. So my feelings settled a lot.

Sending calming energy to my friends walking with me on this thread.

@avant-garde @AuntGlow @heartathome

@DownMoreThanUp your home and family seem beautiful. I know you work hard and struggle and strive.

Being at peace seems a work in progress for me. I can rarely be secure in it. It seems that way for all of us, but we just just keep on keeping on.

God Bless

Thanks a lot friends. i really appreciated your support, insights and comments. Not really able to answer all that right now but i'm feeling a little better than this morning after a few hours on one ear. i think i might end up there soon again.

Will get back to you.

Grace.

Grace is not a feeling or a thought,
Neither can it be sold or bought.
It cannot be swallowed like a pill,
Or cheaply ease some inner ill.
Grace does not enforce any demand,
Nor is anything personal banned.
Rather it is God's healing hand of Love,
His compassion descending from above,
Lifting us gently out of our inner pain,
So we can safely be ourselves again.

Thanks again for your love, care and prayers. really appreciated.

i'll share you the best version of amazing grace i know.

I'm so proud of you @Appleblossom Look at you go! I think the quintet is privileged to have you with them! I can see that you struggle going to church. Can you tell me why you're going to a struggling church and one that you don't feel comfortable in. No need to answer! I'm glad you could stay away from the bullies and managed to enjoy the service without socializing! 🩷

Re: Christian Chat

That’s a really good question @heartathome

I am probably so used to trauma, physical pain and emotional and social pain, I don’t know what a reasonable set of compromises are. So I am grateful for crumbs, and keep trying, and forgiving. I come from 2 generations of state wards or Forgotten Australians. Believe me, I have had to cop it and suck it up, every where I go. My son and I were that isolated. I needed to find some social connection. I have been there 5 years since COVID. I have learned to speak up, make jokes, and strengthen my resolve. Maybe it has put iron in my soul. Maybe I was too wounded and sensitive and needed to develop other aspects of my personality.

I had a CATT team idiot telling me I was not isolated about 7 years ago. What did they know. There are so many people who get paid and get it wrong. Anyway putting up with the church is better than the CATT team. I am getting too old to keep moving on. So lots of compromise I guess. Having the church as base has helped me branch out, as at least I have something to say that is not mental health related. Most poor normies can’t cope even hearing about mental health stuff let alone being decent. try to find less challenging ways of expressing myself.

Thank you for being kind. I am not used to it.

🌹🦢🐥🙏🍎

my son just began playing gorgeous Bach on the piano. Then I have to drive him to the MH clinic this morning. In the afternoon I have a psychologist zoom, then a new support. I am far more educated with professional work experience, but the isolation and rejection have meant I am now on NDIS. Weary sigh, that has its challenges don’t worry.

I am alive and trying to model some quality of life for my son. I know you know what it can be like in carer role.

Re: Christian Chat

@AuntGlow Thank you for this caring answer. i know that the best thing anyone can do for me is pray Jesus to hold onto me. i always get a real sense of support when someone prays for me. The second best thing people can do to help me is to send me a Bite to eat. Scripture verses are the most powerful way you can encourage me, and most important of all, help me keep the right perspective. This is why i almost always listen to Scripture sung in song exclusively when i'm down and out. God's Word is like balm on my wounds.

POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING: discussing non prescription drug usage.

Content/trigger warning

Yes i did go off prescription meds for a reason. No matter what A.D i use, the best they do is depress me rock bottom, the worst they do is turn me suicidal. (Once after just two hours starting a new AD, and if not for my wife i would have never survived.) i have literally tried every single one on the market i think. For years my psychiatrist tried them out on me. These years of prescription medications have been the deepest years of depression i have ever suffered throughout my entire life. (Very much also because my doctor kept the stuff that does work from me, claiming it was causing me to be sick.)

While modern anti-psychotics almost all have AD chemicals included. This is why the doctors in the end put me on an anti-psychotic from the 60s. i used that one full-time from 2011 to 2019, with only a few times stopping them for a short time in that duration. (Always out of utter frustration with my reality, but which promptly had me suffer a major psychotic break down within a few months, if not weeks of stopping them.)

The problem with antipsychotics is that they depress me 24/7. For i stop cycling through my moods and end up perpetually depressed. And if that was not bad enough they made me mindless. For they would stop me from thinking, and i would sit in my chair most of the day staring in front of me into nothingness hating my existence.

This is when Jesus suggested to me that i slowly cut back on the anti-psychotics. And i mean really slow! So i cut back over more than 3 years i think. i would take of a few crumbs of my anti-psychotic and then learning to get used to being with less, and handle the increased turmoil and emotional feelings, until full stability would be found again, then a few more crumbs. And in like such a manner, over a period over three years, i slowly cut down on my anti-psychotics.

A time which proofed to be a really hard time for both me as well as my wife. For we had a lot of triggers between us, after me suffering years of psychotic break downs. For often, either my wife, or me, would get triggered by my at times semi psychotic states. For i be learning to deal with myself a psychotic person, in a positive manner, instead of negative, and how to best keep psychosis away.

However the strong bond of love between us as well as lots of prayer and soul searching had both of us overcome our triggers each time. And so in the end i could finally stop my anti-psychotics 24/7 and had learned to self medicate and keep myself stable that way.

Not using psych meds has me again cycling through my moods. Which at the moment is out of balance again because of the recent psychotic episode i suffered. But overall i did more than three years without prescription meds without a psychotic break down, and finally had more good days than bad, days i am feeling only slightly depressed instead of hate my existence as been.

The non prescription meds i use now, i use in a twofold manner, which are in a completely different from of each other, and is too complex to explain to you, even if the mods would allow me to share this info with you.

In a nutshell i do not like taking the meds when i'm down, for then i have to use the meds in their most active state, and i do not like using it like that much at all, even though such can bring incredible relief and stability. Therefore i often skimp on using my meds when i start to feel down and have like so learned to turn much of my negative down times into much more postive down time, as i showed in my list before.

However not using meds can become a real problem when i'm, what i term, in my negative down, (i'm always my raging alter then, and i hate using meds in that state for it medicates me away from being like that.) This is why i begin treat myself medicating myself as the enemy, instead of my best friend. And if my wife does not keep me using it regularly, i know i will stop using meds altogether and end up suicidally depressed being hard and loveless towards myself.

For we both know me falling in my loveless state, is the most dangerous state i can be in. For when i get out of touch with my love, which always happens when i become deeply depressed, (for i seem to descend in a kind of manically filled (self) hate,) and will refuse to continue self medicating, but instead will begin to prey on my own life.)

@ENKELI

i'm sad for you the negative list resonated with you for i know how crappy it is to be in such a state. It is unbelievable what depression can turn us into i reckon. i do really relate to not washing, for i really struggle having a shower when down, but my wife hates it when i do not have showers. And she will literally refuse to sleep with me, or comment on me being smelly turning away from me. So i have taken the way of least resistance and shower anyway no matter how i do not feel like having one.

Also more anxiety i relate to. As a matter of fact bad anxiety always proceeds a very low mood. However when down deepest, anxiety comes in spells rather than 24/7, i think this is manily because i disassociate from my feelings when things get bad down there.

And yes i have false teeth on top for a few years already for the very same reason yours are bad. i neglect myself when down in every way, also food and drink wise.

@Appleblossom Yes i'm a blessed man to have my wife standing beside me. She is everything i am not when i'm down and out. And often knows when i'm in need of care well before i do. Without her i be dead for 27 years already As was the first time her presence in my life thwarted my first attempt in the nick of time. As she has done multiple times after that. Even just a few months ago, she managed to do that once more, literally embracing me with her love going through such a lethal time of self hate in my raging alter.

Any way this took me literally ages to write. i'm still pretty down but did get a few hours sleep. My wife is home today so hopefully this will help climbing back out of my fall again.

(@Moose123 How are you my friend? i trust you are hanging in? A song for you my friend

Hey @DownMoreThanUp I'll let our tech team know that you were having issues getting your post up! It seems like the forums were perhaps feeling a bit glitchy over the weekend but hoping that its resolved now. Either way, I'll pass on this information so we can look into it!

Re: Christian Chat

Oh @Appleblossom I'm so sorry you grew up as a state ward! I can't imagine! 🥹 I have so many questions that I can't ask but I did look up Australia's Forgotten Children and had a read. So much rejection, neglect and cruelty would change anyone's brain! It sounds like they broke you but out of the ashes the Phoenix rises! 🐦‍🔥 Can I ask what nationality you are? No pressure to tell me! I'm aware of the stolen generation but they also talked about British, First Nations and Australians being taken away from their families, put into an institution or foster care, which is still a bit of a hit and miss. Some people still do it for the money! I remember studying it in a welfare course, but my brain has gone to mush after the food three and a half years ago. I hope kids have more of a say these days! I don't want to trigger anyone by talking about this, so I'll stop here.

I can't believe people aren't kind to you, my friend! That's not fair! 🥹You don't sound like a bully to me! What is wrong with them?! 😠 I can't imagine not being kind. A simple smile can change a whole day! 🙂I've experienced it!

It's sad that most people in church don't understand mental health. I was drinking out of a RUOK (Are you okay is about s****** prevention) mug and only one person knew what it was about and none asked any questions! I find It also goes the other way where the majority of people I know don't want to hear about salvation in Jesus either.

How old is your son now? Mine's 35 in a couple of weeks. Sending much love

I've forgotten how to find the trigger warning @Jynx @Thyme I don't know if it needs one on

i hope the techs can get it fixed.

Hi friends i'm still down low but safe. More and more i see myself changing in my once raging alter, not raging no more. Rather deepest sadness carried by greatest joy keeps pouring, even as i'm finding myself back underneath my greatest rage, fear, religious upheaval imaginable back who

i'm crying my joy. i can never tell you how much i love Jesus for come to my aid a mad man raging at life like a wild animal in my psychoses not knowing what to do with myself being like that bereft of love and filled with hate.

Never thought I worship Jesus in this self. I know I will overcome my bad down time in me as well. I know for sure now. All glory to His Name. We are FRIENDS!🎉

Thanks for listening well enough to ask another relevant question @heartathome

I am probably of European stock, but have not done a DNA Test, or even how worthwhile they are. We are all related to Neanderthals. My first friend in my third orphanage was indigenous. I was moved so often I guess it took that long to make a friend, but then they moved her. My father had indigenous friends from his orphanage. He was only in 2 orphanages but for 16 years. Just as well I paid attention at school and can count! We always had a heart for struggles due to injustice. I have silently protested with Stolen Generations and for various Royal Commissions. I do try to advocate.

Most people can’t get past the idea, and ask one decent question! You studied welfare.
