Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

@heartathome Yes i know what you say is true, i have had schizophrenic people i worked with in the past who suffered from the same problem. i also met plenty of people in hospital over the years who suffered from these problems. Tough often clarity as to which drug caused what existed, for they used more than one drug, combining different a variety of drugs for a better 'outcome', which was usually what landed them in hospital therefore.

Trigger warning discussing drug usage.

Content/trigger warning

Sadly for me it was more often the other way around. Usually i would have held psychosis at bay already for some time successfully medicating myself, but then i would run out of 'medication' and the trouble would strike me double so to speak.😪

Once i had a kidney stone that caused an infection, while i was going through a manic phase, and i landed in hospital in Perth. Where of course i was only allowed psych medications. After the operation they kept me in for a whole week because of an infection. i hardly slept a wink, and was running highly manic by the end of the week.

My wife, when she came to visit me, knew she had to get me home. So she lobbied the doctors just as long as it took to let me go. It was on a Friday and the doctors wanted to keep me in till Monday. But my wife knew i was far to far gone, and really needed a break big time, for i would have certainly gone off with the fairies if they would have kept me in longer.

Driving home i talked non stop my wife reckoned, telling me later she was worried for me, for she knows how quickly things can go bad when i become like that, and that then i would suffer the horrible aftermath that always followed such a breakdown. Months, if not years, of depression.

Ever since i learned control, i have not needed to go back to Hospital suffering major psychosis. For i make sure i have some ready when trouble comes around.

Thanking Jesus He helped you and me. And praying all those who struggle with these kind of issues find the help and support they need to overcome their problems and issues.

Its been great chatting with you about this.🤗

@REDLINEZ750 @DownMoreThanUp @heartathome I am a bit conservative when it comes to using the drug you speak of. It would be extremely helpful for my father, who has COPD and is on oxygen 24/7. His GP talked to him about it and was in the middle of sorting out prescribing it when my stepmonster died and everything was put to a standstill.

If you are going to use it recreationally that's fine by me, so long as you don't get in a car. Just like drinking I know it can affect driving ability.
Like @heartathome I know friends who have gotten messed up with it so I would never be an advocate. It needs to be strictly controlled but while it is illegal it is always going to be a game of Russian Roulette if buying from unknown sources because you have no idea what it's mixed with (or so I've been told, please correct me if I'm wrong. I won't be offended 🙂 )

I had a friend give me a "cigarette" unknowingly and I had no idea why I felt paranoid. She thought it was funny that I got the munchies but she wasn't around to experience me feeling insecure and anxious. When I tried it in my 20's I had a different reaction, it just made me want to eat, then throw up!

Nowadays I don't smoke and very rarely drink but I would never judge anyone who does.

It's an interesting topic @DownMoreThanUp . Thanks for sharing. It's been good talking to you about it too but it is what it is. We're on a very sensitive platform here! It's something else we have in common!.Now we know. 🤗

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI Fully with you on all of that. Caution ought to be advised using any drug licit or illicit i reckon.

Re: Christian Chat

I won't get into that discussion @ENKELI I could have something to say about it but would rather leave it there. It's pretty hard to discuss in depth on this platform! Thanks for sharing! I always love to hear from you! 🤗

@heartathome I love chatting with you and the fact you have differing opinions is welcomed. You are so very respectful when we disagree and I know we have to be careful with what we say, but if you ever want to share your opinion I am definitely interested in hearing your views.

That we all have differing opinions is what makes my time on Sane more fulfilling, if that makes sense at all!

I love diversity too, @ENKELI Even though I might disagree with you somewhat, you're still my brother in Christ and a friend! No judgement from my end either! 💛

Re: Christian Chat

This has been such a big issue in my life. Trying to fix what i saw so clearly in other people. That is why i wanted to become someone who supported people to help 'fix' them.

Yet i made all the mistakes this person points out not to do. Though i know i always mean t well.

However it blew my life apart. And i had to find the same answer this video also suggests at the end, learn how to deal with this gift.

Jesus is so very good to know when it comes to these kind of issues.

See if anyone here relates.

Re: Christian Chat

I have been watching The Chosen the last couple of days and have felt so light in my spirit.

Then I hear my dad on the phone to my brother, chatting away happily. While I'm glad he chatted with his son, he's neglected to reply to his daughter (me) who has sent him 3 emails in the past week.

I feel like an abused dog, used to being kicked but still wagging its tail on the iff chance it might get a pat or a treat.

Hate isn't the opposite of love, Indifference is.

To hate someone you need to love them first. Right now I hate my father. And right now I'm thanking God that even as the tears roll down my cheeks, He will never be so cruel 🙏 💔 😢

Hope everyone is having a good day, take care and God bless 🙌

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI You are SO right about God never treating us like our parents do.How horrible when our parents treat us like this? i know very well how such feels, and how this can be upsetting when we feel unwell, for that crappy devil accuses us with their loveless words, actions and attitudes when we are down and out.

@heartathome @REDLINEZ750 @Shaz51 @rav3n @Appleblossom @Moose123

Sadly my dad never loved me as a kid, or sought contact with me after i left home. Neither did he rang me up ever. Only right at the end of his life did he show he did care about me. And did we have an affectionate conversation together. The last thing he did before he died was bless me. Which almost knocked me of my feet from surprise, for i had never thought he would even think about doing such thing.

Often my mum was even worse in her treatment of me. For she would ring us up, but then talk to my wife about me, but not to me. And later she would talk to our children but not to me. Even if i contacted her she be asking after my wife and children but very rarely after me, or how i was feeling. Worse if she did talk to me, she would always give me a sermon about helping my wife around the house, or ask me how many chores i had done fro my wife that day or lately. Even though she knew i was sick as.

My parents have always made me feel unwanted and unloved. However recently my younger sister has had a talk with my mum about her doing this all the time, for i complained to her about mum still (she is 91) doing this when she claimed mum loved me lots. So now my mum has finally began to respond to my messages again. This has only recently materialised. She even told me in her last message that she loved me, and prayed every day for me.Which was really nice of her to say and do.

For sadly both my parents, as well as my wife parents, have never forgiven me for falling ill, and me, as they accused me of, 'forcing' my wife to go to work as well as raise our children. If only they knew how much their treatment of me, have contributed to me being as i turned out to be. And how much it has hurt and upset me i have been unable to function properly in my role as husband and dad.

Only a few years ago have i learned to forgive my mum for her treating me like that. i know it was very hard to do, for she had not changed at the time. However i have done heaps better after i did letting go of my (righteous) anger, so very glad i finally did.

Very true words spoken here!
