Let's make Christmas fun

Maybe if you eat a whole plateful of Brussels Sprouts, you will get back onto the nice list @Phoenix_Rising? That ought to keep Santa and the elves happy!

Hi all - so today is the last day of work for my beloved and she came home early to start her holidays (2 weeks). Immediately decided she needed to get napping to celebrate. LOL. Took my darling doggit to the vet to treat a puncture wound/tear under her jaw that appeared yesterday (other dog will be the culprit but not malicious probably in rough play). Took the opportunity to buy another soft squeaky toy for their Christmas pressies.

I have braved Kmart too today to get my Mum some summer tops she asked for and going to visit her tomorrow with that and the pressies I got on her behalf for the grandkids and great grandkids (easy peasy just gift cards - one each for the two families).

I could not believe how many people stared at me today, I am used to being looked at because I am pretty unique, but truly I wanted to charge per view today - I wondered if my face was covered in toothpaste or something. Or maybe at my age, I look too old to be pregnant but have a belly worthy of 9 months (the medication and hysterectomy hijacked my stomach and turned it into a barrel.) Ho. Ho. Ho. Merry Xmas.

I avoid shops the best of times, let alone mad Christmas rush, so glad to get home and logon and read all the merriment.

Hope everyone is as feeling centred and clear as they can be and can look after themselves over the week ahead.

@Queenie, Giggle. Did you know I've never eaten a single brussel sprout in my entire life!!! So...if I ate one tonight, maybe Santa would be super impressed that I'd eaten more brussel sprouts in one day than in all the 40 years of my life put together.

I'm surprised no one came up with any ideas of how I could bribe Santa. I guess that means no one else around here has ever made it onto his naughty list.

I really did eat some vegetables today though so I'm hoping I might yet scrape through onto the nice list before Christmas.

@Phoenix_RisingMy parents fed me so many Brussel sprouts when I was growing up, that I never wanted to see one ever again.

I never liked them much anyway. I've eaten plenty of them since then, but not my favourite choice by any means.

It's funny how that goes. I remember my Dad saying (when he was alive) that his parents fed him so many peas, that he never wanter to eat another pea (ever again)...

Guess what???? Today is the eve of the eve of Christmas eve!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think this is one of the coolest days in the year, simply because it is so fun to say "the eve of the eve of Christmas eve." I used to think I was the only person in the world who thought this day was awesome...and then I met @CheerBear!

So...we've made it to the last day of the working week before Christmas. Just as well really, because clearly no one at SANE is doing any work anyway...

It seems that my cat, S, gave Santa another call last night. Yesterday I sat down and did some maths. If we are supposed to eat 5 serves of vegetables a day, that means I should have eaten 1825 serves in a year. I counted up how many serves I had actually eaten in the past year, subtracted that number from 1825, and came up with...1820. I ate a LOT of vegetables yesterday. I'm super hoping it was enough to get me over the line with Santa.
