oh wow @Former-Member that is such a beautiful part of Victoria - and brilliant surf beaches. You are 'living the dream' at the moment
(except for that ban that we should not mention lol)
It must also feel nice to be so close to the beach and have someone to go with - it's natural to be nervous when you haven't done something before - so well done you ![]()
Surfing is one of those things you can easily do on your own or with others - so if you need space you have a wide ocean to find it in. I am very jealous right now lol

I love the water @Former-Member but have never surfed - never had the opportunity growing up. I do have a kayak that I love taking out but it has been well over a year since I have been able to get onto the water - simply not well enough and no strength to even lift it at the moment. I have a life jacket for my puppy dog to come with me - I really want to be able to do that again - it is the one thing (along with beach walks) that I really miss.

It is going to take time (alot of time) to get back to anywhere near being able to be back on the water @Former-Member I have literally lost all muscle tone and do not even have the strength to drive the 20 minutes to the beach. My legs turn to jelly if I walk too far - and by too far I mean up to only 50 metres or so. It is debilitating and very depressing (lol) not being able to do simple things like walking, driving, gardening etc. The two things I miss the most are walking on the beach with my dog and painting. The beach I go to has a walking track above on the hill. You can sit amongst the trees and look out over the beach - it is so beautiful and so peaceful.
