thought it might be cool to get everyone under 30 years old to share their experiences on the forum
just to help each other with "young people stuff"

Re: under 30s thread

Hello everybody,
I'm totally new here. Don't really know what to say haha I'm 22 and I live in QLD. I was diagnosed with bpd when I was 18. I was wondering in their 20 has ever had many problems with identity? I had always thought that our identity is sort of "fixed". But ive realised that it's not fixed at all and I'm constantly adjusting my beliefs and behaviours.
Any thoughts?

Re: under 30s thread

I had a busy day planned @MDT but it hasnt gone that way. Instead its been about keeping safe. Honestly dont know what else im suppose to do.

Sorry your feeling abit odd, I seen you had quite a bit of support on your thread through the day which is good.

Good to hear from you @Former-Member I hope your holiday went ok and didnt have to come home early.

Rest up, and when your ready love to hear about your adventures.

Sorry to hear your not doing to well either @gymgirl240when you upset or not in a good state to drive try to do some deep breaths and then try and drive. Sometimes its a day for being at home. I hope tomorrows a better day for you. What is it that has you having a bad day?

Hello and welcome @Fearandloathing

I just need to let you know that you cant say specifics on here like your name etc, saying your age and state is fine but please be weary of details of yourself as this is an anonymous forum.

I have bpd too so can probably relate some some things however what youve meantioned here about identity is normal for everyone. Everyone at some point questions who they are, what are their values, what they are doing here, what they want to do etc. its perfectly normal. Its really about finding yourself and who you are which can take a lifetime so no rush at all. Times change constantly which means so will our views.

hello also @melbournegirl@The-red-centaur

Re: under 30s thread

Thanks for replying! Ive never really reached out like this before, I'm not exactly what's okay and not okay to say on these forums haha. I've always suffered in silence cos I was raised in an environment where expressing emotions was frowned upon. So I bottle it all up and let it fester.
Do you have any tips for bpd? Especially in regards to maintaining friendships and not crossing that invisible line of being clingy and annoying?

Re: under 30s thread

thats ok @Fearandloathing

im not sure how to link things in here so will ask

@Former-Membercan you link the community guidelines in here please

when talking to specific people you can tag them so they will get a notification saying that someone is talking to them. to do this if your on phone type in the @ symbol then their name like i have yours or if your on computer when you type in the symbol itll bring up names that you can pick from.

theres also a thread here called BPD byt myself ill see if @Former-Member can link it in here too, you can ask other members with bpd tips too. im really not good at friendships either so not much help there.

what sort of things are you interested in/hobbies? do you work? favoruite tv shows or just anything in general to help us get to know you

Re: under 30s thread

hey there @Fearandloathing
welcome to the forums

in regards to fixed identity I'm not sure... but i have had a religious deconversion over the past few years and its definitely changed my identity i would say. I'm the same, but I'm also different.
