Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

This has got to be one of my favourite threads 😊 I’m not feeling like myself. Not sure what is wrong. Maybe I’m just feeling a little lost. Trying to figure out a lot of things....

Saw my psychologist today. She is aware of the redundancy situation at work. I told her that I am 99.99999% sure I will be taking a package. I mentioned I have been very emotional lately and I think that has alot to do with nearing the end of 18 years at this organisation. Due to confidentiality reasons, I am not permitted to advise anyone at work (except for the team leader and execs who are already part of the "system" and in the "know" ) So I am virtually sitting at my desk all day, not really interacting with people who I enjoy a natter with. It feels like I'm slowly fading away inside and my spark is gradually going out. I've been triggered alot the last week and cry at the drop of a hat and at what may seem to others to be totally random instances, but that's just the way it is. My inner kid sister and inner teenager are feeling so scared and insecure...and I'm supposed to be the adult here.

Oh well, not much longer. I am still smiling and laughing at work when I can get the smallest opportunity so am just marching time until the end of June.

Andrew is patiently walking by my side with all this stuff going on. He has been so busy with his work and other stuff, I am so proud of him. Tomorrow is a special day for me as it marks 6 months since we met randomly. I gave him a small gift - a polished stone and crystal, symbols that I said represented encouragement in learning to trust a select few in an attempt to let love in, whether that be romantic love or sibling love or friendship love, whilst allowing a person to become kinder and less harsh on themself-

Tomorrow is a special day for me as it marks 6 months since we met randomly. I gave him a small gift - a polished stone and crystal, symbols that I said represented encouragement in learning to trust a select few in an attempt to let love in, whether that be romantic love or sibling love or friendship love, whilst allowing a person to become kinder and less harsh on themself-and asked him to return the stone and crystal to me in 6 months time. And so the regifting to each other can continue. He is terrified I am going to leave him, like so many others have, so I thought the stones might help soothe that particular anxiety. I regularly reassure him that when I "adopted" him as my brother it wasn't just for the times I needed him, I want him as my brother and I want him in my life. Today I reminded him how precious he is and how much he has helped me. He does get squirmy but he knows I love him. Thanks for listening. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully I'll sleep well and all these niggling "issues" will not seem so huge and worriesome.

I'm sure some sort of paid employment-doesn't need to be much-will come my way, but I need a couple of weeks inbetween my last day at my current job and looking for other employment. I've always travelled the safe path, but I mentioned to Andrew that I wouldn't mind having a couple of "wild" (well, wild for me) days during my weeks off. I said the planning, and what I was thinking I might like to do, would be something positive for me to focus on. Hmmmmm

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

It comes in hits that feel like a sudden kick to my chest making it hard to breathe, or a lump in my throat that makes me feel like I can't swallow. It's the pain of fear, helplessness, reasons to not to trust, and of remorse. It meets with hurt that comes from the loss of people, places, dreams and the person I am no longer. It becomes inescapable, like an all consuming dark, twistedness, casting a shadow over all there is to appreciate, feel thankful for and look forward to.

I'm holding on and it really hurts. I don't know whether I can't work out what I need to let go of, or whether I have found the answer but I don't like it. I dont know how to do what I need to do. Holding on is hurting but letting go will hurt just as much. How do I choose between those pains? Why does it have to be so painful?

I'm angry at the world and so angry at myself, for all I should have and could have done differently. It doesn't matter how much I try, I can't fix things or undo them or make them better. Why do I keep trying when it seems so pointless so often? 😔

I've failed yet again. I walked to close to the edge and fell to a point below. It's a difficult journey to come back up, lots of obstacles in the the way. When will I get to a point where I care about myself and finding reasons to carry on? When will enough be enough for me? I know I'm my own worst enemy.

And I texted Andrew last night saying I felt so vulnerable and exposed and stressed and scared and just felt like running away from all this redundancy stuff. And because I was feeling like this, my self confidence took a huge nose-dive and I was questioning myself and my abilities. I also started doubting Andrew. The inner voices were arguing about why or why not I ought to trust him.

Andrew phoned me this afternoon and during our conversation reiterated he had my back and that everything was going to be alright in relation to what's going on at work.

Trying to be patient until the last day......
