So blessed to have lovely friends on this Forum. My wonderful real life friend has been taking good care of me. She has work on during the early part of the week so it’s back home with my daughter now. Together they made adjustments to some dresses and tops to accommodate my sling and arm that can barely move.

Off to a therapy session in the morning.

It is obviously going to be a real trial, but we are here for you ...... good days and bad ones.

Had my first OT session since leaving hospital. It was quite gruelling especially since I had a lot of nausea from the pain meds and the trip in even though it was only fifteen minutes. It was a positive appointment and the therapist expects that I will eventually regain functional use of my hand. Had to be wheelchaired to and from the department. I have exercises to do three times a day.

Then had a rest before a lady came to shower me and wash my hair. Felt so good but again exhausting. My hair hadn’t been washed since before the accident. Needed a nap afterwards. The first two weeks of the service are paid for and then I will continue paying myself. Feeling much more human now.

Have physio on Wednesday morning and hope to feel stronger by then. Looks like there will be weekly OT and physio sessions for the forseeable future.

I was worried you'd have to do this alone, but so pleased things are working out, getting necessary support, as we should 💜

This time next year it will just be another story to tell 😱 lol
