@outlander I have my ex coming back with my son and as a treat they will have a pizza meal for lunch ... not I though I will have steamed organic veggies ... lol. Was thinking of taking my daughter out but it is so hot already might just do a massive day of washing instead.

What have you got on today? and yes 40 degrees here 😞

I got our 2 loads done yesterday. Not much on here its in the 40s here for us too so air con and if i can manage it might do abit of drawing or calligraphy

Sorry for the slow reply @outlander. I nicked down to make a coffee. That's rough not being able to sleep for a week! Do you know what may be keeping you awake? I havent slept well be managed a few hours. I will be sorting out cupboards etc and packing today to get ready for putting the house on the market this year. Quite a bit of stress coming up. Do you have any plans?

Sounds like you are keeping to your NY resolution well @Bunniekins. Great start. Drawing and calligraphy sounds relaxing @outlander - I might do some cross stitch in between packing. This year is going to be a very busy one for me 😬

No problems @Former-Member i dont drink coffee but i couldnt go without a cup of tea. A few of the nights were my past coming to haunt me and being too scared to sleep. Last night was a more obvious one and then another night my adrenaline kicked in about 1am and ended up painting all night because i couldn't sleep. But alot of the time its because of nightmares or being to scared to sleep.
Oh yes I forgot you were putting your house on the market. That must be stressful but maybe exciting as well? Are you looking at buying another house or just rentals?
Its suppose to be 40 possible 42 here. Its already hot so the air con will be going on soon already. Im not too sure on plans probably resting since no sleep but if i can rest enough maybe abit of drawing. I told Nell i would put some pics up of my calligraphy quotes as well so will do tha abit later when im on the computer.
Did you want to talk about what was troubling you these past few days?

Oh if love to see them umm i think 'through ones eyes' on the LE side or 'art class' on the carers side would be the best place @Former-Member then we can all aopreciate your work

@outlander - stress, worry and/or past trauma effects memthe same way - having nightmares where I either can't sleep but the quality is so poor because of it, I wake up tired. I had to take something for it for awhile just recently which helped. Do you find meds helpful at all when experiencing this? It really is taxing on the mind and body and I worry for you.

We have bought some land 5 mins up the road on the ocean to build a new house on - it's exciting but all the cofuffle leading up to it is extremely stressful. The last few days my husband has been sick, my daughter had to return home after another abusive relation with someone and a couple of people whom I thought were friends hurt me. I do have a lot of friends and I am lucky there, but it still hurts.

It is in its 40s here too, they predict a heatwave. Do you see a trauma counsellor about your nightmares? I do hope you get some sleep tonight. I feel for you
