Re: I dont know how much longer i can go on like this
I'm in a room with only one other person, and the house is nice and cool. The nurses tonight are pretty nice too, so I'm trying my best at the moment to ride out these crappy feelings and hold on. The physical symptoms are now starting, which are quite uncomfortable. So lots of distractions planned. I wrote a statement on my intake sheet to the effect that I will aim to be honest with the nurses and reach out for help. That's the point of my stay here.
Haha, I'll make a promise with you NOT to sleep in my car. There's jigsaws here so I might start one later if I can't sleep.
Groan @Former-Member re:nurse voice. Now you're starting on it. I have been told I have a stern voice when I need it. Right now it's a squeaky stern voice from my hospital adventure a few weeks ago. But yes, I have been known to lay it down hard for misbehaving patients. When you work rural/remote like I've done or emergency, you get have to be harsh sometimes because people are drunk, abusive, complaining unnecessarily, etc. I rarely swear at a patient, but I have said on occasion shut the fk up- or you'll bleed to death if you don't stop your hollering!
If you gangster sisters need distraction anytime, I've got many, many stories to tell you.

@Sans911I am glad you are going to try and be honest with the nurses there. Hopefully you can connect with the main nurse as you seemed to form a good understanding with him last time you were there.
Haha Sans, I think that is my teacher voice coming through. The school I work at (or well did) is an extremely hard school so stern is the only way to go with the students. I would love to hear some of your stories at some stage. I might be able to throw a few in too!!
Gangster sisters - I am going to find a picture of that!!

This is my anxiety talking tonight, otherwise I'm usually much less talkative of late. I'm back at the mh respite centre tonight, so I'm just anxious about being around people I don't know.

I guess you are in good hands being there. I hope you get the treatment you need soon. Please be safe.
