Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Re: Night Shift

Sincere apologies for the word 'inspirational'. Poor choice of words. I share your struggles and take courage from your victories. My brain has not been the same since a medication od. I apologise fully. Please do not take offence. We do the best we can.

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Faith-and-Hope

I have had a bad migraine today - this damn anniversary is going to get me coming or going -

I had to get away from the screen - ah - I can have a choice of being in deep dark water over my head feeling miserable or have a migraine -

But whatever it is - I know the cause - and it has been easier this year

I have rung Flight Centre to sort out my flight to and from Canberra - I am paying extra to fly in more comfort - it's not as if I fly every day or week - but I must look into frequent flyer points

So I went to my doctor and had a shot of phenergan - that settled my stomach - and my headache has eased off a little - but I had better get off this screen - I don't want it to come back

But later - when all rush and nervous haste of dinner etc has passed - let's hope we can get a chat going - but I am not making any promises - it was really good having the chage

No offence taken at all @comet, and no need to apologise 💗

I am sorry you are struggling with foggy-brain episodes. I hope it clears up for you progressively.

Re: Night Shift

Last post on the subject. All I meant was that I can appreciate if some people don't like being called inspirational. To those who don't I apologise. It is 2016.
